You’ll receive a special Snowdown icon for the following actions between now and January 6th:

• Participating in a five-man premade match in any queue
• Behaving well in the spirit of the Snowdown season
• Purchasing RP as a gift for a friend
• Purchasing a champion as a gift for a friend
• Purchasing a skin as a gift for a friend
• Being one of the top participants this Snowdown

Distribution of Snowdown icons will begin a few days after the upcoming patch and may take several days to hit your account after they are earned.

New Ward Skins

As we reported in the PBE posts, there are two new holiday ward skins. There has been no price posted yet.

New singed lore

Kitea just confirmed that singed will be getting his lore updated, as it no longer fits with Warwick and Soraka´s story

Pro Player Pick: Lilballz Picks Alistar

Welcome to this week’s Pro Player Pick, where we feature one of the best League of Legends players discussing his champion of choice.

In this edition, Lilballz picks Alistar. As jungler for the World Champion Taipei Assassins, Lilballz was eager to talk about the Minotaur’s tankiness and disruptive power. Alistar has great ganking potential when using his Pulverize-into-Headbutt combo, which becomes even more potent once team fights break out. Alistar can knock weak foes into the middle of his team or bat enemy assassins away from squishy allies. Add in his spammable heal and fortifying ultimate and you’ve got a champion well worth his place on any team.

As far as major stuff goes, we make large announcements on the leagueoflegends.com homepage, and sometimes even in-game client takeovers. You'll always have quick access to watch the games, and partner organizations (like MLG, IPL, OGN, ESL, etc) will have more information about qualifiers and long-term schedules.

Prized events don't get displayed anywhere, although we're looking to change that soon!
