Two important things have happened right before this patch!
IMPORTANT
- This is PBE. This is where Riot tries out various numbers to test and play with. This does not mean it will go live like this!
- The following is datamined from the TOOLTIPS, this means any changes, are changes made to the tooltips and may not reflect abilities that have values that don't match their tooltips
- -Riot may not always fully update a tooltip, PLEASE do not rage about changes, take these as a basic idea of what to go test on the PBE!
- This compares PBE to PBE (not live)

New Ping Menu

Weve begun PBE testing a new feature called Smart Ping, and we need your help putting the system through its paces. Smart Ping is a radial menu that includes Enemy Missing, Danger, On My Way and Assist Me alerts designed to help you communicate more efficiently and get those last hits you mightve missed while typing MIA. Heres how to use Smart Ping:
- Hold down the Alt, Ctrl, G, or V keys to bring up the ping menu
- Click and drag your mouse towards your desired ping
- Release the mouse button and ping happens
Once youre used to the system and have memorized the new pings, youll be able to hold Alt and fire off your alerts before the menu even appears. Your ping will appear both on the minimap and on the battlefield itself to notify your team. Existing pings have not been changed.
Give Smart Ping a test run and let us know your thoughts. As always, stuff can change between now and release.

Posted 2/14/2013 7:20:59 AMAH mang, sounds like they will ruin my hotkeys for a game. V is my stop button. Also the 'assist me' and 'on my way' pings seem kinda unneeded, but I could be wrong. A ping for missing is nice yeah.

Posted 2/13/2013 2:40:17 PMWhy does Nidalee deserve these nerfs?
Nerf her obscene damage or range! Not her sustain! stupid riot -_-
She effectively has 44.25 less MR at level 18 at cougar form which is significant (30MR versus 74.25MR). I don't know what's the cause for these changes, but it affects AD Nidalee more than they think! Now she can't get tanky passively (she can't toplane now), so she has to waste her gold on resists instead of HP/Damage items, which hurt her bad!
One question though - is the nerf to Kayle's Q because of her appearance in the tournaments lately? :(

Posted 2/13/2013 2:47:13 PMWhat insane range? On the slow spear? The damage sucks at a range nearly impossible to dodge and is good at a range that is easy to dodge unless your team is keeping your target locked down AND you happen to already be at the necessary range to get the insane damage.

Posted 2/13/2013 2:57:07 PMIf she has enough mana regen to sustain herself, it doesn't matter how slow the spears are because sometimes you just can't dodge. The more frequent they happen, the more hits you probably take - even if you dodge most of them. It's like that one game deciding Blitz hook that costs you the game - He just spams it till he gets it.

Posted 2/13/2013 2:50:01 PMThis was probably directed at bruiser nid anyway, where she could just build pure damage and health, and still take less damage than other tanks. AP nidalee happened to get nerfed as a side effect.

Posted 2/13/2013 3:00:00 PMI didn't think that this might be BECAUSE of Bruiser Nid... :P Seems logical but they should still keep the MR bonus on Cougar form just for the sake of consistency (Jayce and Elise get bonus resists in Melee form so why only her?)

Posted 2/13/2013 4:32:55 PM"why only her?"
Because she's the one who it's problematic on right now, and she's the one being fixed. Consistency is a poor argument here. You should keep things relatively similar mechanically so that skills that apply to one champion don't have to be constantly relearned for another. For a real game example, think about Mordekaiser and Annie's conic skillshots, and how they used to walk into range of them instead of simply firing when you pressed the button, like they would do for most other champions. This isn't a mechanical issue like that, so there's no need for that consistency.
