[UPDATE] Unofficial PBE Patch Notes for 5/23/2013

PBE 3.8 Patch 5

Another "Small" patch has hit the PBE, with some rather big changes to Aatrox.

Obviously they need to work on the range a little.


Champion Changes

Lissandra

  • [W] - Ring of Frost - Now deals 70/110/150/190/230 (up from 60/95/130/165/200)
  • [W] - Ring of Frost - Now has costs 50 mana (down from 70)
  • [W] - Ring of Frost - Now has a cooldown of 14/13/12/11/10 seconds (changed from 16/14/12/10/8)
  • [R] - Frozen Tomb - Self cast now lasts for 2.5 seconds (up from 1.5) [This may be from yesterday, It is NOT in any of the air client patches, but is in-game]

 Aatrox

  • [Passive] - Blood Well - Now also gets an additional 35% of the well's total pool
  • [Passive] - Blood Well - Now heals over 4 seconds.
  • [Passive] - Blood Well - Now gains 1% attack speed for every 2% in the Blood Well
  • [Passive] - Blood Well - Decay rate may have changed - looking into this one.
  • E] - Blades of Torment - New AD Ratio has been added 40% BONUS AD
  • [R] - Massacre - Now increases attack speed by 40/50/60% (instead of 25/35/45 + 10 for each champion hit)
  • [R] - Massacre- No longer increases Aatrox's maximum health
  • [R] - Massacre - cooldown is now 100/85/70 (down from 120/100/80)

Sona

  • [W] - Aria of Perseverance - Power chord's reduced damage on champion now only lasts for 3 seconds (down from 4)

Zerglinator found another VERY interesting change to sona's passive. The power cord damage no longer goes up 10 per level. In fact, from levels 1 - 6 it is a different number per level. You can see the full chart below. [Note, old value was 8 + (Sona's level * 10)]

    For that TF thing...well, I mean, that IS the range right? I would actually like that a lot better than the circle we have now. It would be some incentive to take off smartcasting to optimally hit the 2 side cards. Or at least smartcast range indicators.

    Itemizing for him still looks like a pain though.

    I hope you're joking for your sake because otherwise you're terrible at itemizing. That build is just awful. A BotRK is strictly better on him than BT, and Zephyr is strictly better on him thank Zerkers. Most good players probably won't even build a single BT on him.

    If it was a joke, then it's kind of funny. :3

    Your forgetting that hes melee so hes never going to fully use the attack speed he gets from his passive and ult+the 40% from botrk and a lot of his AD scaling got buffed so BT ends up giving him more damage most of the time.

    Why won't he fully use the attack speed? Not everything you attack in LoL is an enemy champion.

    With ult on he is only semi melee. Then range increase is quite significant. With ult on + slow from E and BoTRK he will be in aa range almost constantly

    You forgot about the extra 35% from passive and 4 secs of invulnerability

    4 seconds during which you can't move so people can get ready to kill you as opposed to healing the same amount of health in only 1.5 seconds and being able to escape before all 5 of their team is standing next to you insuring the kill. The way you wrote about 4 secs of invulnerability makes it sounds like you think it's a buff, which is the exact opposite of reality.

    Yeah, basically like Zac and Anivia passive, nothing new. It is excellent early and in 1 vs 1 situation, it can work if the opponent team have difficulty to be organized or if you team dictate the tempo for the late game.

    Before you ressed  to fast. There was no time for the enemy team to de-focus you. so you would respawn and then die instantly again. Now there's some down time for the enemy team to switch targets so you can surprise them a bit when you come back

    His passive takes 266% as long to heal him now. This is a HUGE NERF, not a buff. No idea how you could miss the mark by such a huge margin as to call this a buff. ._.

    This is a CHANGE not a nerf/buff it's neutral.

    Scenario 1, you get surprise engaged in a team fight and die first, you pop right back up 1 second later and get killed again, your team gets wrecked in the 4v5.

    Scenario 2 you get surprise engaged in a team fight and die first, your team has a 4 second window to hard engage and push the enemy back so you have breathing room when you revive, the fight is a mess but at least it's a 5v5.

    Scenario 1 you get killed in a duel or gank, you pop up 1 second later and run for it you most likely die anyways.

    Scenario 2 you get killed in a duel or gank, your escape mechanism cools down 4 seconds durring the revive and you run for it, hopefully it's up soon enough to save you.

    Scenario 1 your team loses a team fight and you are killed, the enemy has 1 second to surround you for a guaranteed kill.

    Scenario 2 your team loses a team fight and you get killed, the enemy team has 4 seconds to surround you for a guaranteed kill.

    The scenarios for which it's a nerf occur at a higher percentage than the scenarios for which it's a buff. I have seen many more Aatrox games than most people, and it's worse now at least 60% of the time. You are right that it's not as huge of a nerf as I made it sound, but I was exasperated after reading multiple people claim that the change is a buff.
