Info on Lucian's Ult and Next Champion Discussion
After Lucian's release, the hints for a new champion started with full power. A discussion on our forums closely observes Riot clues. Riot went on with the teasing in the middle of a Lucian forum thread, so hopefully we'll have some official info... Soon (tm).

This seems odd to me, since the Culling is a spell. I'll talk to Zenon about it.Silence shouldnt stop his ult either cause its not a channel but meh... THERE IS NO LITTLE BAR THAT INDICATES ITS A CHANNEL.Silence also does not seem to interrupt The Culling. Where is everyone getting their information? I'm admittedly testing on a more recent build, but don't see any changes to his spells checked in that would allow for this.I'm going by what you see when you move the mouse over their R ability. If they basically do not channel, then someone in the Engrish department needs to fix that, because something was lost in the translation to the mandarin our overlords speak.Neither of these spells are actually channels. I'll change the tooltips (patch 3.12 not 3.11). Thanks for pointing this out... that is indeed confusing. When is your next champion coming out?My next champ will be storming Summoner's Rift directly after our next addition to the League. GypsyLord's second champ stole the spot ahead of me.While The Culling is being looked into, I'd also like to ask about the direction the game believes he is facing for the purpose of abilities. I have read that in regards to Backstab and Mocking Shout, Lucian is considered facing the direction he is moving and not the direction in which he truly is facing and firing. You are right -- this interaction is buggy.
While that may be a minor inconvenience to some, this would also imply that something potentially used to stop his ultimate, Cass's ult, has the same issue. I don't own Lucian and none of my friends that do are awake at the moment to help test, so if someone would mind testing and verifying if this is true, it'd be appreciated. If Cass can't petrify someone staring right at her simply because he's moving backwards, that doesn't seem quite right.
We just had a meeting on this today ("meeting" here means a conversation in the design pit where everyone works) -- Lucian's ult doesn't actually lock his facing for the purpose of our game engine, so yes it messes with Cassiopeia's Ult, as well as Mocking Shout and Backstab. We are not going to fix it for 3.11 because it requires re-writing some of our oldest, dustiest game code to account for animations but will hopefully have a fix in as soon as is possible. Note Skarner also "lies" about his facing when he is ulting (and maybe Caitlyn while moving from Yordle snap trap?), so we'll finally be able to fix that interaction as well.My next champ will be storming Summoner's Rift directly after our next addition to the League. GypsyLord's second champ stole the spot ahead of me.soon...soon...No (tm)? You've jinxed us.No (tm)? You've jinxed us.Yeah I suppose exact dates are still up in the air.CertainlyT, while you are here I would like to say that Lucian is bugged with Sivir's Spell Shield. His Q will deal damage to her when it's up and still pop it. Not sure if this is intended but I am pretty sure that is not how it is supposed to work.Just checked this. Seems to be working. Shield gets popped and Q deals no damage.Yeah I suppose exact dates are still up in the air.I have a feeling this statement is loaded with explosive intent.
Lucian Now Costs 6300 IP

No More Lag on EUW/EUNE Servers

There are 2 pieces of good news.
Firstly, with some tweaks performed on the Spectator grid last night we were able to reduce the redundant traffic it generates. All the constraints are internal, and do not impact Spectator quality or the delay.
Secondly, were close to re-scheduling of the critical maintenance at our providers facilities, which means we might be able to perform all the required changes before the weekend (Friday to Saturday night). During the maintenance there wont be any outage, so we dont even have to disable ranked during these works.
With this being said, we are happy to bring you good news. It is our aim to meet your expectations and deliver the quality you rightly deserve on a daily basis.

I'll take this to the UI team.shouldn't they already know about this? do they not play the game?Hey there :) we are aware of a lot of things. It's always good to see what our players value most, though. And I play a little too much League myself ;)

Killer in clay
EmilySculpts designed and delivered this delightful addition to Rengar's collection. From the exquisite details on the blades to the raw feral power of his scream, Headhunter Rengar comes alive, though thankfully not too alive, in this sculptured rendition of the Pridestalker.
In Chronomorph's deft hands, the Twisted Treant really branches out. Surrounded by the subtle terror of the jungle around him, Maokai stands imposing, blocking the path. And yet, from this angle, you'd swear that might just be a happy smile on his face. Or the terrifying grin of a plant king who's got you rooted just where he wants you. Let's just move on, what's next?
The blistering gaze of this black-haired beauty only underscores her mastery of the dance of death. Yaya Han comes alive as Fiora in these photographs by Martin Wong and LJinto. Staring down the blade of her rapier, she's as imposing as the Grand Duelist should be.
VI-ing for power
Digimitsu puts us on the receiving end of a wicked left hook. The Piltover Enforcer is ready to punch first and ask questions while punching. She looks ready to detain us with those hints of her city behind her, swathed in neon pink and clearly under her protection.
Awash in flair
Chubi Buni debuted her “fin”-ished Nami cosplay at Anime Expo this year. The incredible attention to detail sells the Tidecaller throughout the cosplay. And how did she end up ashore, awash in Anime Expo? I'm not sure, but I seem to remember a story about Nami and a pearl?
Light in the darkness
Lucian's twin weapons flare in KADU-OUT's lights-out cosplay. With a head-to-glow attention to detail, this cosplay melds magic to bring Lucian to life. Will he ever know peace?
On that note, it's time to search out our hearts in our art. We need your talented crafts, cosplay and whatever other creative skills you keep hidden away like Thresh stealing…oh, forget that, just send the goodness to our submission box and we'll see you next episode.
