Champion Changes

Kassadin

  • Null Sphere [ Q ] - Now deals 60/80/100/120/140 damage (down from 80/100/120/140/160 compared to last PBE patch)
  • Nether Blade [ W ] - Passive now deals 20/35/50/65/80 damage (down from 30/45/60/75/90 compared to last PBE Patch)
  • Nether Blade [ W ] - Passive now scales with 0.5*AP (up from 0.4*AP compared to last PBE Patch)
  • Nether Blade [ W ] - Active now doubles Passive's damage to 40/70/100/130/160 (down from 60/90/120/150/180 compared to last PBE patch)
  • Nether Blade [ W ] - Active: Doubling Passive's damage now scales with 1*AP (up from 0.8*AP compared to last PBE patch)
  • Nether Blade [ W ] - Active now restores 5 % of Kassadin's maximum Mana (changed from 20/25/30/35/40 Mana compared to last PBE patch)
  • Nether Blade [ W ] - Active: Mana restore doubles to 1*Mana against champions (changed from 'Mana restore triples to 60/75/90/105/120 against champions' compared to last PBE patch)

Item Changes

Lord Van Damm's Pillager

  • Now grants 25 Critical Strike Chance (down from 30 compared to last PBE patch)

Wicked Hatchet

  • Now costs 1200 (down from 1260 compared to last PBE patch)
  • Now grants 10% Critical Strike Chance (down from 12% compared to last PBE Patch)
  • UNIQUE Passive: Critical Strikes now cause your target to bleed for an additional 60% of your bonus Attack Damage as physical damage (up from 30% compared to last PBE patch)

    Yea you probably are. He is slightly overpowered. Not as much as some champions, but still needs tweaking.

    More like exchanging some of early power for lategame power (lower dmg and mana regain earlygame, more scaling into late).

    The fact that it got new particals was a major thing for me! The skin and effects are suddenly a lot more unique. Too bad the effects are pink. :p

    Though, I still think there is missing some actual armor on the lower leg. The hair on top is also still ugly, but it guess it fits the theme. 

    Edit: I'm really looking forward to see the splash art.

    I like the direction they are going with Kassadin but if they are intending to turn him into a melee assassin they need to reward aggression by reducing his front line vulnerability, not adding more damage. One way to do this could be increasing the cooldown of his ultimate by 2-3 seconds, yet it's halved if he hits an enemy champion. Then enemies would have a shorter window to capitalize on his vulnerability, yet for blinking around the map, general escapes and the basic Q-E at range combo he would be worse off. They also might need to return his MR per level.

    Kassadin is a collection of obnoxious league mechanics, such as burst, silence, slow and low-cooldown teleport with 1,75x range of Flash. Shifting him into a more of a melee champion who uses ranged spells more for utility compared to damage is a way to go to make him less obnoxious. Although I'd just make his Q a skillshot. Anyway, if he becomes a melee-like champion, they can return his MR per level and give some buffs to allow more of close-range fighting.

    I agree, the only issue with this is that the scaling on his Q and E are still really high, so late game people will go right back to the same old QE combo for huge damage and ignore the W, even though it does deal a lot of damage now. I think they could bring the base damage of the Q back up, but drop the ratio a bit, signifying that it's meant for utility more than damage. The E I think is fine because he'll have to get close to hit a bunch of people anyway, and can only spam it in teamfights.

    But otherwise yes, I completely agree that he should get his MR per level back if they're taking him in this direction.

    i think These changes are made for an Later Rework for this champ Basicly te Thing that appealed me at most of Kassadin was his enerhy Sword but as i started to see how he is played i dounf him pretty Boring hes an Melee assasain and should be played like 1 i think his W Ratio is huge

    with a Lichbane he will deal and masteries he will seal 1.80 on his next Attack thats huge and compensate all his dmg allmost back on his lost ratios just for building 1 item

    and i think he like never havin mana Problems again with the W skill change

    he can build now Melee Brusier without fearing too loose a lot of dmg
