It's the daily deploy; I don't have a full changelog for you, as always it includes all of our latest bug fixes.

The Team Builder crew will be on with an announcement once we lock down our next testing window. We'll make sure there's some notice so that people can plan to be around. NO PROMISES, but I can say we're hoping to get it back in test next week.

The server should be back up today in about 40 minutes.

I wish they'd warn. I was succesfully connecting twice and I was ready to FINALLY test the ticker as they finally placed the test messages when I'm available (even though they didn't warn they were going to place them).

But as it was logging in and being logged out immediately after, I was only able to get glimpses of the ticker (happened twice)

Oh, good point. I'll leave a ticker message up today once the server is back up. It'll be something boring for testing purposes only.

On warning, we typically post a 15 minute notice. While it's not ideal, we'd rather give you a short warning and deploy the new content as soon as it's considered "good to go" vs. waiting until later in the day.

ha i remember the champion spotlight where phreak said she was good at poking and outpoked caitlyn, who was the strongest poker at that time XD

  • #68 Benegesserit

wtf chompers is already really weak i mean jesus is she supposed to have zero early/mid?

  • #73 Gameguy301
Jinx is a hypercarry who can still hold her own against the incredibly popular lucian, sivir, draven, Caitlyn, and the supporting Annie, Leona, thresh. A hyper carry who can competently lane against aggressive lane bullies and kill lanes is a bit much as her current win rate would indicate she even functions as a lane bully against other hyper carries. Most hypercarries face a slight gold deficit when faced with lane bullies this is not the case here. Also if your going to complain 38 less HP at level 1 in this bursty bot lane meta is a much bigger fish to fry than 20 damage off your utility skill. considering armor and magic resist your total trade potential is down by the amount of one auto attack.

OMG KOGMAW BUFF GG HE'S SO OP NOW SO META.... But seriously, kog maw needs a bit of a buff in the early game-mid game because as much of a monster he is late game, he wont reach that threshhold if he goes up against a jinx or a lucian, two hard lane bullies that can snowball a lane easily against immobile ADCs.

  • #66 jhawkjayhawk

hope there are more buffz to come kog has been outta the spot light for way to long

  • #70 punny1m

That's not a buff, that's seriously a nerf. +20 damage on his Q does not justify making it becoming a skill shot with short radius,

  • #72 jhawkjayhawk

i dont think the change even went thru i tried him on pbe like 3 days ago and his skill still did only 60 at lvl 1 and 260 lvl 5 and if it is now a skill shot it wasnt on the pbe server...

  • #63 n4zArh

"To the first enemy hit" in Kog changes... does it mean that it became skillshot?

  • #61 D00meriksen

Jinx is supposed to be a dps champion who favors longer fights. That was not the case on live. With these changes, she will have less burst and she'll be more vulnerable to burst as well.

Expect a similar nerf to Draaaven in the future.

The Kog'Maw change is going to put AP Kog over the top. If Ziggs will ever see nerfs, you can expect Kog'Maw to take his place. His Q range is so low on live, that it was basically a useless skill in mid lane. But changing it into a skillshot will make him very painful to lane against.

It's not that he's a bad laner as ad carry either. He always had one of the beastiest base stats. He's also one of the few champions who can handle Caitlyn.

  • #62 ordosan

ya as some one who plays artilla kog I have to agree his Q range is short to be usefull mid lane unless your against someone who can get near you too fast(of course then you have the squishy issue on your hand) but making it a skill shot would make it a good long skill but would probly make it harder to prioritze targets since it can be blocked.

  • #67 jhawkjayhawk

    dat base hp tho .3.

  • #69 3mptylord

As someone who mains AP Kog'Maw, I'll reserve judgement on his Q until I feel it. After playing the Xerath rework, losing the ability to pass-through minions on Mage Chains killed the flow of his kill-combo. I know lots of champions have to accomodate minions, but champions like Kog'Maw and Xerath don't - it's all long range, over-head/pass through. For a skill that already isn't used - making it use a counterproductive play-pattern won't increase that, even if it gets longer range and more damage.

  • #71 punny1m

as someone who main ap kog, I feel that it's a nerf to make the skill go from guarantee hit into a skill shot. AP kog mid can harass the enemy with his Q early game since it's a guarantee damage ( even though you might need to get a little close to the enemy ) and since it's not a skill shot, it couldn't be blocked by minions which make Kog'Maw can safely poke his skill behind his own minions. I'm completely okay with where he is standing right now, to make his skill becoming a skill shot means he will have 3 skill shot on his kit, and that doesn't really help both ap and ad kog at all, especially with his low mobility and his low escape ability.

The question for me is now, if Renekton's Q has never been healing himself 4x when hitting champions and they cleaned up the tooltip or they straightly nerfed that. I'd love the latter case.

My brother finally needs a good hit with the nerf bat as well.

  • #59 Abel9210

They're just cleaning up tooltips. They didn't actually nerf Renekton in this patch, and honestly, I don't feel that he needs nerfs in the first place.

  • #60 Gameguy301
[p]sun fire cape and spirit visage nerfs will be plenty, renekton a tooltip is very wordy it actualy explains 20% vs 5% and 40% vs 10% so unless RoG staff is being lazy and paraphrasing "heals 4x against champions" is Just a tooltip thing. Renekton is receiving indirect nerfs hitting him straight up would be a double whammy something I hope riot learned to avoid from the trinity force and muramana abusers, you either nerf core items or champions but don't do both or you'll kill them.[/p]

All the Jinx changes are justified. She was broken in the hands of a good combination. Decent HP [Considering her drawback is supposed to be that she is glass even for an AD] and a 100 base base 1.5 second snare at Lv 1 which ensured a Lv 1 kill with a well-played Annie or Taric and well-used C.C for like 2.75+ seconds lockdown along with the stupid 100 base damage. 80 base damage at Lv1 is more normal; and the health decrease also means she dosen't automaticaly win fights early and then snowball out of control because lol130% AS boost.

GP Change is apparently a tooltip fix; but do they seriously need to nerf Janna? Her healing is listed as Heal Per Second after all...

I daresay that removing the x4 heal on CTM on champions might actually kill Renekton. Especially as that's a massive decrease in healng in a teamfight. Along with the Riven and Shyvana changes; I guess Dr.Mundo will be completely unbeatable top and pick or ban. [Since he's not getting changed; so far at least]

I'm not sure if that's a Janna nerf. She got massively increased base heal values and an increased ratio on the PBE already. With the duration reduction she feels just as much in a faster time frame leaving her less vulnerable when using it.

  • #53 Gameguy301
In the previous PBE patch they increased Janas healing amount, and now counteracted with a lowered total duration, this squishes her best case / worst case scenarios.
here we go healing is 100/150/200 + 0.6 AP per second up from 70/110/150 + 0.35 AP per second. So we are looking at 30/40/50 + 0.25 AP more per second, and 20/10/0 + 0.4 AP more healing across the full duration total.
