[Updated] Unofficial PBE Patch Notes for 3/20/2014 - Miss Fortune, Rengar, Pantheon Changes, Item Changes

Champion Changes

VERY VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE! Pantheon's ult now has it's channeling time reduced to 0.5 seconds! So it's not all a shameless nerf due to the drastic range decrease.

Strut (P)
  • Now displays its Movement Speed bonus on its buff icon
Double Up (Q)
  • Mana Cost reduced to 43/46/49/52/55 (from 70/75/80/85/90)
  • Cooldown reduced to 7/6/5/4/3 (from 9/8/7/6/5)
  • Damage to 1st target changed to 20/35/50/65/80 [+85% Total AD] (from 25/60/95/130/165 [+75% Total AD])
  • Damage to 2nd target changed to 40/70/100/130/160 [+100% Total AD] (from 30/72/114/156/198 [+ 90% Total AD])
  • Target selection for 2nd target updated
Impure Shots (W)
  • Mana Cost reduced to 30/35/40/45/50 (from 50 at all ranks)
  • Passive's bonus damage changed to [6% Total AD] per stack (from 4/6/8/10/12 [+5% AP])
  • Attack Speed changed to 20/30/40/50/60% (from 30/35/40/45/50%)
  • Grievous Wounds duration reduced to 2 seconds (from 3 seconds)
Make It Rain (E)
  • Cooldown reduced to 14/13/12/11/10 (from 15 at all ranks)
  • Duration increased to 3 seconds (from 2 seconds)
  • Slow changed to 25/35/45/55/65% (from 20/28/36/44/52%)
  • Vision granted by Make It Rain now more closely matches its area of effect
Bullet Time (R)
  • Now applies stacks of Impure Shots (does include bonus magic damage from passive; does not include grievous wounds from active)
  • New passive effect: increases the stack cap of Impure Shots to 6/7/8
  • Damage reduced to 50/75/125 [+20% AP] (from 65/95/125 [+35% Bonus AD][+20% AP])

His visual indicator (the secondary, bigger one) doesn't fit in the screen, so we made 2 screenshots in order to show the size:


On the PBE the secondary indicator almost fits in the screen:


  • Aegis of Zeonia [ W ] - Stun duration is now 0.5/0.8/1/1.3/1.5 seconds (changed from 1 second at all ranks)
  • Grand Skyfall [ R ] - Range is now 2000/2500/3000 (down from 5500 at all ranks)
  • Grand Skyfall [ R ] - Channeling time is now 0.5 seconds (down from 2 seconds) 
  • Grand Skyfall [ R ] - Cooldown is now 150/125/100 Seconds (down from 150/135/120)


  • Bola Strike [ E ] - Added to the tooltip: "This slow diminishes over time."
  • Thrill Of The Hunt [ R ] - Added to the tooltip: "While stealthed Rengar gains 20 % Movement Speed when moving toward enemy champions." (replacing "his next attack will cause him to leap")

Item Changes

Bonetooth Necklace

  • UNIQUE Passive - Mementos of the Hunt: Kills now grant 1 trophy (down from 2)
  • 20 Trophies bonus tooltip now says: "Thrill of the Hunt's Movement Speed while stealthed is doubled." (changed from "Rengar gains the movement speed bonus of Thrill of the Hunt while he is stealthed.")

Minor Atlantean Syndra Visual Changes

The main thing is the color of her clothes - it's a bit lighter green now:

    The pantheon nerfs are bogus. His ult kinda sucked to begin with (easy to dodge and does barely anything to the enemies stupid enough to stay in the giant glowing circle).

    that ult nerf killed my panth mid, hope at least they cut also the CD so you have the worst global but a bit more spamable like 10 or 15 segs less...

    Whats wrong with u riot. U fucking just need to scale his ulti range instead reworking it so badly, ffs.

    He was strong jungler before u buffed lizard only because no lcs player him. U wanted a open minded Meta but in the truth u force the meta .

    Wow! That's great Riot! Good work! I'm amazed you could make two champions useless at the same time, and STILL leave a broken champion alone in your game. Good work. No, really, I'm impressed. It takes big balls to ignore the outcry from your community about Yasuo, just to destroy MF's viability and Pantheons utility. Good job.

    I like Pantheon nerfs. I still think they are Nocturning him a bit too much, and I think a buff to his lvl11 and lvl16 ultimate range would be better. Anyone saying that Pantheon diving bot lane from impossible to ward areas was healthy/did not deserve a nerf does not play support/adc often enough.

    The 0.5 second cast time is HUGE, since this gives him a more reliable scape now. He needed a nerf guys, he got it. Deal with it. His W will still be broken with good CDR.

    Well its easy to surive Pantheons ulti if u are a experienced supp.
    Pantheon is only good in early and mid now they nerf his early and mid, he was already easy to counter but now he is dead, it exist to much cheampions with better kit and scale better in lategame.

    Jungle Panth doesn't mind roaming into ult range, lane panth is pretty dead though.

    Agreed, but this reduces pantheon's availability to counter gank ANY lane even if he was not near. It is a healthy nerf, but I think a slight buff to his laning would be in order.

    Its like as soon as they got ghostcrawler, they stopped listening to what people say and started to really go super ham. All of these changes are fucking terrible lately, and riot just doesn't give a flying fuck. Skarner sucks, Heimer is okay, Panth is going to be blown dick, MF is gonna be God tier, Kassadin's damage is way too fucking low now. Its just embarrassing.

    Skarner is mediocre, but he will be buffed and his kit is alot more fun now. (And it's not like old Skarner was great at any points).

    Heimy turret HP buff was needed, since they were so easy to destroy later on and they still are his main dmg output. As for others, it will only profit him, so they are good.

    Panth is pretty much only jungler, who can gank you from nearly any position and in any place, not couting point'n'click stun and high dmg with his passive. This nerf is going to make his ultimate unstoppable, while he needs to come closer to use it (instead jumping from nearly any spot in jungle to lane). And, his stun is going to be more reliable late while taking away some of his earlygame power.

    MF is forgotten pick right now. She needs those changes if she is going to come back to game.

    If you think that Kassa changes weren't needed, please change game. He could lose his lane (and lose it hard!), gank once, get kill or two and snowball. SNOWBALL. Which champion can lose his lane and still be able to snowball out of control? Not to mention, that only raw damage has been lowered, not ratios (unless u r talking about R change) and he got nice bursty W with nice scaling...


    Where Rito does not listen to people? Because AFAIK they respond to biggest issues (which aren't just bronzies whines, like DARIUS OP).

    Let me have a word with you about Old and new skarner. I share your opinion in the other aspects though. Save for darius, that actually saw competitive play and was impossible to deal with in lane. When pubstompers make it to tournaments, something is wrong. Remember that Irelia was still a top pick then, and darius negated her completely before his nerfs.

    Now, back to Skarner. Do you realize how hard is it to gank with him? Having to rely on a skillshot to even attempt to do something is not good. In serious games, you can't gank a warded lane no matter what, you can't gank from behind, etc. He is still godly at countering ganks, I will give you that. I think that his kit right now will need to get buffed in order to become viable. And what happens when you overbuff a champion by just numbers? FUCKING NASUS BRO. And then gets Irelia'd sooner or later. And becomes a forgotten pick once again. And the cycle begins again.

    CloudTemplar would like a word about the season 2 worlds. Skarner was great fun before they stopped his ult working reliably.

    Putting him on par with Nocturne.  Maybe when this goes through and guys his WR they'll buff noc slightly.

    Chanelling time 2 seconds --> 0.5 seconds. It is quite impossible to dodge now

    Dodging it will be as easy as always. He still needs to fall down. It's just that he need to be closer to do something, so jungle panth can't come to you from anywhere around the map in few seconds.
