Well, axe is somewhat fine, it's the background that's bland.

The axe is 100% fine. It's the same quality as all of the other new icons for items. Plus its actually a black cleaver. It lives up to the name.

The background just happens to be the solid part of a gradient. Not "rushed" just unfortunately placed, and easily moved. Doesn't matter either way. The icon will be small enough that no one will notice.

Forsaken Jayce particles are pretty nice. So are the Blood Moon Zilean. Looks like an Oriannna ball tho

I'm not sure about it. It does look more worn out to me. At least it bears some resemblance to the old one though, unlike the DFG icon... It took me a while to finally remember the new icon, since I kept on assuming that it was Abyssal for some reason.

Well, ok, one end of the axe is more hook-like, but it still looks fairly similar

all things on pbe aren't always done; they could change the icons like they did for the jungle items.
