The past few days have been unplayble for me. I have very high FPS and my ping usually is less than 100. Lately its been spiking to 800, and then fall back down to 300. I get hit by minions in the jungle and I can watch my health go down while i stand there and dont auto attack. WTF. Diablo 3 / any game on steam / torchlight 2 / blah blah blah are all working fine with no lag issues.
If theres something I can do on my end..... please let me know. This game is too much fun to be spoiled by lag like this.
Sorry to hear about that. Have you had a look at our Knowledge Base Article about Improving your Connection. If you haven't, that would be a good place to start. If you continue to have problems i would suggest submitting a support ticket to our Technical Team, here. If you provide them with the following information in your ticket, it will help them out quite a bit:
Same issues, along with random disconnects. I submited a ticket, provided all the info and more that was cited above. First support person says it is my connection give me the logs. Second support tech says my port forwarding has to be messed up, gives me a document to follow to make sur all my ports are open. Did all this, all ports open.
Did my own ping test for over 20 minutes, 44ms avg ping 0 packets lost over the entire test. It is not on my end. Had a tech come out from my ISP, he tested all my lines and equipment and found 0 problems. My modem was an older model so he replaced it because he hada new wireless router/modem combo on him. Still getting the same problems on 2 seperate routers and modems.
It is not on my side. I have completed 2 custom games in over a week, and the only reason they finished was because I literaly relogged my client 10-15 times per game and managed to reconnect. Often it will not even let me back into a game after it freezes.
I would suggest sticking with it. Troubleshooting is a process and the solution is not always found nor the issue resolved on the first response. They need to rule out common causes of the problem and then get the logs i mentioned with common causes ruled out so they can get to the root of the problem.
