Homeguard Boots

  • Coming soon to PBE are several changes, including:

    - Tier 2 boots can be enchanted, upgrading them to a Tier 3 boot for some gold.
    • Homeguard: Provides powerful regeneration and movement speed at fountain.
    • Furor: Increased movement speed in combat.
    • Captain: Increases movement speed of allies moving toward you.
    • Distortion: Decreases cooldown of Ghost, Teleport and Flash.
    • Alacrity: Grants a small additional base movement speed bonus.

Are these boots going to make it into Dominion? They sound pretty ridiculous for this mode.

As for what Xyph was aiming for when he introduced this.... look at the name again =)

All boots have them. Homeguard is currently disabled on Dominion, I believe.

Ah, live team may have opted to do that instead. Up to you guys though. I'm very reticent to keep these on the map at all because they seem like a must-buy.

Live team disabled just about everything for CS, TT, and PG since those maps are outside their domain of familiarity. I already went through and enabled the ones I thought would be good, and left out the ones I felt would be abusive.

It's really up to you guys whether or not we keep Homeguard in. I'm tempted to try it for one patch "just to see", but I don't really like the implications of it being an ubiquitous buy.
