One thing that's worth noting is we have millions of players playing League at any given moment. While you guys have probably seen the infographic (and if you haven't, click for big: http://majorleagueoflegends.s3.amazonaws.com/lol_infographic.png ), so I'm sure you all understand how many people pass through the Fields of Justice every day.
It definitely sucks to deal with toxic players, but the impact that you guys are having via the Tribunal and the Honor system is making a meaningful difference. I know it feels like a much friendlier game, and while a lot of credit goes to the Player Behavior team, they certainly couldn't make it happen without you guys.
Keep up the hard work: you're definitely improving things for everyone else, and while it sometimes feels like there's no limit, things are definitely improving
I disagree I see toxic players pardoned. Then I see people who are good players, helping their team, call MIA and just because they rage after the game is basically over they are punished. How can you say things are getting better when you are excusing the truly toxic behavior while banning the people who are calling out the toxic behavior?
After a week we saw a 41% decrease in verbal abuse reports in normals. That's a substantial decrease, and that's just the numbers on honor. That's without talking about Tribunal, where I don't really have any insight into the concrete benefits.
I can't say much beyond that; I'm not on the Player Behavior team, so Lyte is going to be in a position to provide you guys with the right info.
What I can say is that, like any other system, the Tribunal isn't perfect. But there are a lot of really smart, passionate Rioters working every day on making the game a positive place that people can play without dealing with toxic players and trolls.
Tribunal: 94% Accuracy, 1509. 51 Toxic days prevented.
So, if I have prevented 51 Toxic Days... why are my games piled with toxic players?
