Nope. Red is saying that comparing 2 abilities in a vacuum is a wasted exercise. Compare the champions and kits as a whole if you want to have a useful and meaningful discussion. I was using a hyperbolic example to point that out. I am very glad that you thought the comparison made no sense. Comparing Garen's and Darius's ults in a vacuum without any consideration to the rest of the kit and saying 1 is better than the other is not a useful topic. When I saw that the majority of the people in that thread were discussing good points of entire kits, I stopped paying attention to the thread because my goal was complete (to facilitate good discussion).
You're thinking of another guy. I don't give the reasons for design changes because it's not my area. I was posting in that thread to help facilitate meaningful discussion.
Do you REALLY NEED an explanation why Garen needs buffs?
I don't work on balance, so I'm not the right audience for your reasons. I am just trying to help people talk about the right stuff when as a community you discuss balance.
Nope. I'm not saying Garen or Darius does or doesn't need buffs. I'm only saying if you want to compare them, compare them completely, not just 1 ability. Look at their stats, ratios, passives, abilities, stat increases, move speed, utility, etc.
I'm talking about all the reds in general, unless you guys are blind they tend to post in threads where the answer is easy like in this one
The obvious answer is that you can't just compare two champions skills without taking everything else in consideration, but they tend to avoid any relevant issue to the community.
Finally see a Red post on...
HOW. DOES. THAT. LOGIC. EVEN. MAKE. SENSE.
AND IT'S THE EXACT SAME THING DARIUS ULT DOES
Something magical happens, people compare them to the closest champion they relate to
Since Darius is basically Garen 2.0, people tend to make the connection
The obvious answer is that you can't just compare two champions skills without taking everything else in consideration, but they tend to avoid any relevant issue to the community.
