iceborn guantlet and lich bane

  • does the spellblade passive stack? if not, and i'm an ap tank, which one will activate? lichbane or iceborn gauntlet?

I just tested it, and this seems more likely. Both of the items will proc if you have both, but I'm not sure whether the target is taking damage from lich's bane or iceborn gauntlet, or both.
The target will take 50 + 75% of your AP in magic damage.

Everyone around him will take 125% of your base AD in physical damage.

You will leave a slow zone around your target.

In general, when unique passives across items don't stack, we try to choose the interpretation that favors the player the most but still within bounds.
  • Doh. Yes, my bad.

Let me explain. If I have a manamune and another tear, the basic tear in my inventory will reset to 0 when manamune turns over into muramana. Is this to make sure I don't get both Seraph's Embrace and Muramana early in the game?
We reset the tear counter so that you wouldn't automatically get both at the same time when it upgrades, yes.

How does it determine which to upgrade first?
I think it prefers to upgrade AA over Manamune - Although, come to think of it, we should really go back and make it do order in inventory.

And what about triforce with iceborn? I'd assume it does 150% damage to the primary target, and the 125% damage in spash with the slow aura?
    Yes, exactly.

Hey xyph, does Sheen work on Riven? I know her passive is a mini-sheen but would the two stack?
Sheen does work on Riven - but her base damage is lower than average.

Trinity Force is worth it on her simply for the movement speed and utility nature - but it's probably more of a 4th/5th pick item rather than a core item.

How does riot have time to reply to this when theyre downright ignoring the nidalee dance ripoff and the **** katarina recall?
I'm not an animator or a artist. I'm a mechanics designer and thus I try to take the time to answer or comment on the mechanics in the game.

I tend to try to comment on things that directly relate to me / my work or what I've heard in mechanics design. To use an analogy, I'm the guy that builds the engine - not the guy that paints the car. XD

If you were painting the car what color would it be?
From a complete non-aesthetics perspective, I would choose a reflective grey color, like a darker shade of silvery. This is because darker colors tend to hide dust spots better and reflectiveness helps keep the interior of the car cool due to reflecting light.
