So I went to buy my best friend of 5 years a 10$ RP gift after I patched and everything and I got this:
He is level 30 since 2011 and I have been friends with him on LoL since 2011 and I doubt anyone else would buy him RP 1-2 hours after patch.
Riot support insists the RP was put into my friends account, it wasn't. They dont understand that it bugged out. The support person I am talking to isn't willing to help and basically says sorry there is nothing Riot can do. The proof is in the pictures. Please help me get justice by up-voting.
All I want is my 10$ back so I can re-spend it and get my friend the RP gift that he never recived.
This is the offical letter I wrote to PayPal, wish me luck.
"I have photographic evidence that Riot Games did not properly deposit the required amount of " RP" ( Points used to buy items from their game client) into the desired account.
When I preformed the payment transaction the game client "bugged" or glitched and did not deposit the RP. I have a series of photographs or computer screen shots showing that Riots systems bugged. After this happened I made a post on their forum and had an employee respond to it. ( Many other people experienced this bug, as other people posted the same problem on the forums).
This employee agreed there was a glitch or bug in the RP buying system and took it out of service. And by that I mean North America wide, this service was not available from Riot because they shut it down to look into the glitch.
Althought a small amount $10 USD, I feel it is unfair for Riot to even question this when I have evidence. I have spent a lot of money on this game and never had any issues until now. So its not a case of me trying to scam $10USD worth of points out of them because I have happily spent well over $150 USD on this game.
I won the Paypal case and will be getting my 10$ refunded. Woot!!!
To everyone - we're looking into reports that RP gifting isn't working. Currently, it looks like your friend is getting their RP, but it's not showing up in your gift history and they won't get the awesome popup. If we find that your RP didn't make it to them, we have ways to take care of that as well. Sorry for the inconvenience - we'll reenable RP gifting once the problem has been solved.
