Riot is Thieves!

  • Hello EmperorMoctezuma!

The intention of the feature was to spread joy among summoners and not sad faces. As this is a very special case, I have reversed this gift for you and credited it back to your account. I'm sorry for the inconveniences the gifting feature has caused to you!

The reason it was dealt with so quickly was because I escalated it personally, having had a had in the creation of Gifting. I can't let something of my team's cause a negative experience, if I know the problem is one we prepared for in the feature's inception.

We fix problems like this on the back end where nobody is ever watching, but it was pure happenstance that I saw this post, and wrote my coworkers about it on their vacations (which I still feel bad about).

We care about all issues and all players equally. In fact, we really love you guys. And I actually think its a testament to the success of the forums that this was resolved.

Anyway, I won't bump this anymore, because it's resolved, and there are more interesting things to talk about.

  • "Greetings Summoner,

Thank you for contacting me. Unfortunately, we are not able to reverse or refund gifts. I understand that this may be frustrating, but this is why we built several warnings into the system to remind you what you are gifting and who will be receiving the gift before you hit the "Unlock" button. Since gifting should not be used for trading, we limited the ability to send gifts to Summoners on your Friends List prior to December 11th only.

I am sorry that I am unable to assist you further with this request. If you have any other questions related to the Snowdown Showdown or League of Legends please let me know.

    The Battle Awaits,
    RAngOo
    Riot Games Player Support Specialist"

I sent 5000 rp to a banned account, because i wanted to surprise a friend but I did not know that the account had been banned. The several warnings in the system were very useful, why did riot not think of a warning that said "sorry you cannot gift to this account because it is banned". I am sure others have a problem with the gifting you can go ahead and keep their money as well.

THEY HAVE FIXED IT RIOT IS SANTA CLAUSE AND HOLIDAY CHEER!!!

It was already taken . The chart I was looking at of avatars taken didn't have it listed, but I didn't notice that something called "Incognito Blitzcrank" had been. So I chose a recent skin. I think I'm more proud to have this one anyway.

Seemed like they jusy got keyword filters and sending out standard responses.

I can explain this one as well, on the issue of your purchase history. I am really sorry you got such a poor, impersonal response that led you essentially nowhere.

Anyway, a bug slipped through in the initial deploy of gifting that prevented your RP gift from showing the recipient's name in your purchase history. We QAed this quite a lot, but again, technology... -__- Misplaced variables, or some **** like that.

The gifts were all going through successfully, they just weren't properly documented by the system. RiotAmes was up 40 hours straight fixing the issue, and making sure the second deploy was successful. We let him sleep for the rest of the week. He's a hero.

Tl;dr - It's fixed, it shows now, RiotAmes rocks.
