Been playing Vi and only Vi since she came out. Great character, love her attacks and play style. But.... Two things are severely wrong.
1) Casting her Q should not cause her to stop moving. Isn't the 15% move speed reduction enough? Does she really need to come to a complete stop? I know I can just keep clicking, and it won't matter virtually at all.... But there are times when I'm watching a battle waiting for a good opportunity, I set my path to the middle of the battle and press Q, so it's ready at fully charged right when I get there.
Whoops. It makes me stop moving. I forgot, and now I'm not in the fight.
If it said it did this in the skill description, I wouldn't mind. But since it doesn't mention anywhere that "Vi comes to a complete stop when activating this skill.".... I think it's a bit unfair.
Please change it or update the tooltip, to show that this was an intended effect.
2) Very rarely..... My Q goes right through whoever I'm aiming at. No, it's not me missing. I know this because I punched at a max size cho, hit him dead center.... And just kept going instead of stunning or even damaging him.
Both teams acknowledged this happening. Sadly I have no recordings of this, as it's only happened three times, each time against a different champ. And my comp just isn't powerful enough to constantly be recording when I play.
No complaints other than that! Vi is the first character in a few months that I've truly enjoyed playing as/against. Just please, for the love of god, fix these two things. Especially the movement stopping Q. I can deal with a 1/1000 glitch on my punch.... But I screw up and forget my Q stops me from moving 25% of the time.
I just went into a custom and tried this. I tried Smartcast, Smartcast with Range Indicators, and normal cast. All of them did not cancel my move order when cast while moving.
The bug occurs when you have a target. So if you right click the ground and cast Q, you won't stop, but if you right click a minion and cast Q, you will.
I'll talk to the designers when we get back in the office. This is not intended behavior.
While you're here Whattyabrian, another potential bug:
I haven't had a chance to play Vi much in the past few days, but before that I would get at least 1 Ult attempt a game where I would click on someone to cast the ult (smartcast) and it just wouldn't go off. I'm not being CC'd at the time and they are definitely within range.
If they become untargetable, you will stop and the cooldown will be spent. So, for example, if you ult Fizz and he Trollvaults, the ult will fizzle.
If you have a repro where that is not the case, I'd love to hear it.

FFFFFFF so THAT'S what it was. No wonder I could never repro it...
Will fix when everyone gets back to the office.
Also will fix Q losing its CD when you get stunned.
No offense but shouldn't these things been found out during testing? These seem like very easy things to detect how did she get released with these problems?
Yes, they should have. Bugs are going to happen but that doesn't mean it sucks any less when a player runs into one and has it adversely affect his/her game. This is my fault.
As a rookie designer I'm constantly learning new things about how our game works. When I heard that people were stopping when using Q I went and tried to repro the thing for a couple hours using move commands/smart casting/what have you. Did not realize having an autoattack target would affect a champion's motion in a totally different way from a normal move command and not allow you to continue after casting Q. Now I know. I'll fix this for Vi ASAP and make sure to never let it happen again on any of my future champs.

Does this happen for you every time?

Also will fix Q not refunding mana when canceled.
Also will fix other bugs. FEAR NOT!

You have my apologies.
