So the new Annie skins look amazing. Love the particles and overall concepts. I was just wondering, will she be getting new splashes? If so I have another question: what happened with Nidalee?
She got one new splash and minor particle changes on only one if her skins. I'm not really complaining that you guys are giving us this new content for free, but it seems more attention went into Annie than went into Nidalee. Was it a scheduling thing? Will Nidalee get any further updates to her new look? Just looking for a dialogue here.

Joystick, We want to get new splashes for Annie of course. Splashes take quite a while, and the splash team is swamped with upcoming champions and skins that have no splash, so those assignments take priority. RiotSilver or Riotteatime could answer this more appropriately than I can. But with Nidalee it was the same story, the splash team was swamped with upcoming holiday skins and whatnot. Pawstruck: I get where you are coming from. Many people really like the different facial expression that is on the prom queen splash art. I needed all the faces to be the same for technical purposes, the brow area of the animation rig is very minimal, and the animations are the same through out all the models. If I changed the facial expression of one model then it would not match up with the emotes that Xrayalpha did in the face. We are working on getting more bones in the facial area so we can express more emotion with our characters, even though they may be really small. We know you guys like to zoom in and appreciate the Characters.
jebroni, she did have panties at one time, but I just felt really weird when people would pass my desk and I am intricately painting underwear on a little Girl. It didn't feel right so we made the call.

"Basically what we do is we look at the data of most played/visible champions combined that with opportunities and changes that the other departments might be working on (i.e. Lore and design) and cross reference that with our opinions on visual infidelity of the champs. For example, Ash and Soraka, Huge amount of play, and visibilty, they show up in a huge amount of bot games and Ash is in the tutorial, so we hit them up. Gangplank was getting a new splash and design had some changes they were going to make so we scheduled him to ride that wave. So hopefully that gives you some information as to how these visual reworks are scheduled."
That being said, many people will say "Then why did you do Annie, I never see her being played" in that case we had some opportunistic things happen in the production pipeline that made working on Annie a priority. Similarly some people might say " Well then we will never see the Karma rework because nobody plays her." Well part of reworks mandate is to make old characters feel new and fresh again, in Karma's instance the Art team,Design team and Lore Department have finally found a direction that we like, and are working together to make the Character more compelling.
