Reign of Gaming

Hey everyone!

So I've come across a couple of threads recently where people ask to play games with Rioters - either for a birthday, a 1000th win, or just for fun. And some of the responses were "Why should Rioters play with some random person?" or "They are too busy and don't read posts like this"

I'd like to clear a few things up:

First of all we WANT to play with you all! The whole point of us having these Red names are so we can hang with you guys on the forums and in games (We don't get them cuz they look pretty...ok we don't ONLY get them cuz they look pretty... ) The point is, we make this game for you, and we want you to enjoy it with you! We love playing the game just as much as you do - so never let anyone tell you that if we don't reply it's because we don't care.

Second of all, if you want to snag a Rioter for a game, drop some names of your favorite Rioters in the post!...No need to list every known Rioter, or excessively bump the thread. We find our names when you tag it in the post, no matter where in GD it is - So bumping it to the front page of GD all day wont help us find it, and just makes the Forum Moderators sad.

Lastly, what to do if you haven't heard from anyone? I personally try to get to GD and the Fan Art forums at least once a day, but of course some times I get buried with work, and only later come across a 2 day old post asking RiotPenguin for a game

So what's the solution? Twitter! Yeah, it's lame, I know - but it's the most reliable way I know of, to get my attention. If you want a game, for any reason, *even if it's just for fun* please let me know! I host open-to-anyone ARAMs all the time, with no password - and I post on twitter @RiotPenguin when they are going up. So feel free to drop in any time! No invite needed. The room is always called "Riot Penguin's Party!" And if you want a personal Summoners Rift game for your 1000th win? Just ping me on Twitter and I'll have a much better chance of seeing it

So PLEASE pass this post around, tell your friends - and spread the word!! Rioters are here for you all, you can always personally ping me on Twitter, and if we don't respond immediately, it's very likely because we are fighting off a swarm of rabid zombie ninja monkeys, that are trying to eat the servers.

Haha! I have found a quick and easy way to clear my list - and will be doing so every week or so. So! If I'm not responding to your request, it's because my list is full...but fear not! I'll probably be clearing it early in the week (and I'll post on Twitter when I clear it) so you can always try to add me again later in the week!

So yes to everyone! I'm totally down to play with you all - I do have some time sensitive things to take care of in the next few days so I wont be on very much - BUT! Mayhaps Tuesday or Wednesday night we can get a couple of ARAM's going? They fill up super quickly, so I could make a super secret special game that I'll post here before it goes on Twitter, so everyone who's following this thread can get first dibs

I do the same pretty regularly. On that note, when the ARAM doesn't fill out quickly, I generally ask in the PlayWithRiot chat room if people want to join. Hanging out in that chat room is another way to get into games with Rioters.

In general, though I will echo Penguin's sentiments. Rioters do enjoy playing League with our community, but we are hard at work making the game and community better as well, so we aren't always able to respond to requests in a timely manner. We are each trying to balance work, personal life, and community engagement in the best way possible with the limited time we have, but, our players are absolutely a priority in that mix. : )

Yeah, it's hard. There are a lot of requests and only so many of us with only so much time outside of work and other engagements. I know I try to check whenever I have time and get into games with people who are requesting it, but there's no way I could personally field all of the requests. I know other Rioters are also trying their best, but sometimes requests just get missed or no one is free until after the requests fall off of the front pages. I can play a game later in the week.

I am leaving work for the night to take another friend out for his birthday. : ( I could play with you later in the week, though.

It's over but "RiotSchmick's ARAM" was the game name. : \
