I've noticed and truly believe that the amount of negativity in games and the forums have dropped since I started playing almost a year ago, and it seems to have mostly come from the punishments and consequences of said behavior. Which I'm pleased with seeing as how I don't recall ever being that way and I frown upon such behavior.
But, I feel like us players whom are always very positive and are healthy additions to the LoL community don't have anything going for us besides honor ribbons, which is really all in the hands of your fellow team mates.
There is also the Santa Baron icon, which I found pretty nice, but allow me to share my ideas on how to I guess show your appreciation to those individuals who provide the atmosphere I'm sure you want in this game and its forums.
Notice how I did not say the word reward, as I believe personally one should be positive without expecting anything in return besides smiles and a more healthy online environment, as well as just feeling better about themselves.
1. A Variety Of Tokens.
As someone with a level 1 leave penalty due to internet disconnections and power outages, and never from rage quits, I think having excused leave tokens as a reward would be great for those times when something urgent comes up that most be taken care of asap, or simple crummy internet service ( I disconnected for 1 hour mid game last week ._. ) These tokens aren't spent automatically and are optional upon use, but upon using one it prevents you gaining one for X amount of days to prevent abuse from individuals using them for rage quits based on their total ingame score at time of the leave.
Also, seeing as how dodging ques will be punished more severely due to dodging being at an all time high, maybe tokens to excuse those would be nice.
And of course as a rioter whos name slips my mind mentioned, more refund tokens. Would be very nice for me as I refunded something to buy another person A gift this past Snowdown. XD
2. Client Icon to Forum icon availability
Another thing which would be nice would be the ability to have your Ingame icon ( mine is the shop keeper atm ) as your forum icon. This would brighten up the forums a little as well as showcase those individuals who are notably more positive.
3. Summoner Profile Cosmetics
Having your profile customizable with different optional textures would be neat, I'm not sure about the banner, but having it as the splash art of your most played champion / skin would be great, also another little thing you can do for those who are healthy for this game.
4. Natural IP bonus gains
Just having like 15 or so IP per win / loss naturally would help, maybe more, maybe less I don't even know. These is that petition thread on the forums about raising the Ip gains that seems really wanted, well this could be the answer, but you have to " earn " it I guess with good behavior.
5. Increased Bonus RP upon Purchase
I'm terrible with totals, but this would also be grand, I know people would rather have free RP, but I don't believe that would really work. ( It would be nice though, but let us be realistic )
6. Seasonal Free Skin
Every season those who are on the top percentile of well behaving players get a free gift skin of Riots choice, usually of a 1350 or below champion, and would be cool if they followed a theme too " Divinity of Winter's Frost Ashe, Divinity of Spring's Healing Soraka, Divinity of Summer's Strength Sivir, Divinity of Autumn's Mystery Evelynn. )
These skins are unavailable for purchase, legacy and are only obtainable to those with good behavior in their rightful season ( no viable reports plenty of games played with no/ very few leaves, a good gifting history if that comes back which I think it is etc etc ) , they will return next Autumn / Winter etc etc for availability to earn ( as they are listed as Legacy) so basically a seasonal rare skin.
That is really all I can think of that hasn't been done already ( Icons for good behavior already exist )
