Currently I'm level 19, and although I like playing LoL I don't like playing it hardcore. Unfortunately, I also noticed I am rapidly approaching level 30. I keep hearing about how at level 30, you have to not even do a single misclick. You have to keep wards up. You have to have 1 top 1 mid 2 bot 1 jungle. You have to get the perfect rune/mastery metagame. You have to pick the perfect counter to champions, even if you are terrible with said champ. You have to last hit every single minion. I also hear nonstop stories of a horrible community of trolls, feeders, elitists, and people with overall terrible behavior. If I wanted all those I would go play Dota.
Are all those true, or are people just making it look far worse than it is?

Hey Nydus,
The severity really goes up in Ranked, but many normal games stay reasonably similar, just with people who may have a lot more experience. If you're looking to not get the pressure, you may want to avoid Ranked and Normal Draft entirely.
For learning, watching streams can help up your knowledge - use others' practice to your benefit. Otherwise, a good tool I find is to ask yourself "what could have I done better that game?"
In addition to what Morello said, you'll also find that we've put in some matchmaking changes so that your transition to Level 30 should be more smooth.
For example, we are currently testing a feature in the matchmaker that puts players of similar skill and similar experience (such as number of wins) together. So as a brand new Level 30, you'll be put against players who are also relatively new Level 30s and the expectations might not be as harsh as you've heard.
Ranked Mode is definitely scarier than Normal Mode, but if you stay in Normal Mode you should find that Level 30 won't be that different than Level 29!
I'm afraid of level 30
