So I am thinking of going to school for media production and design, are there any tips for this kind of field? and easy programs to start out with (other than photoshop)? any help would be appreciated
nobody really knows what Griftrix does. I read him explain it in another thread awhile back. I didn't understand it in much detail, but I enjoyed reading it.
Hah! This is so true. Do you have an idea what a graphics programmer is? I'm like that, for animation. I also code stuff all over the game for champions here and there, but animation tech is my area of specialization.
Griftrix of all the reds, you're definitely the one I would consider a pure enigma. And the Paranoia icon only supports my claim. I have no knowledge of animation programming or graphic programming but thanks for your work nonetheless.
So... Thresh uses a whip. That is part of his character model. When he does a long range attack, and then runs in a direction after the cast frame when it hits, he has to pull the whip back to himself. When he runs, he changes the direction he is facing. Without some of the code I did (and many extra animations from the animators) he would rotate the whip with his body, and it would look strange. I wrote some stuff to make sure he pulled the whip back properly from the direction of his target.
Hope that gives you a little idea of what I do in addition to the non animation related champion tech requests that come through.

Ok, getting too late. Goodnight!
How about "programs animation tech"
