Rule of large numbers

  • For those of you quoting the rule of large numbers for guaranteed ELO leveling out to your true skill level, here's the amount of games you're looking at: 600+. I did a number crunch assuming you are always the better player on your team and play consistently at that level for all 600+ games.

I was driven to do this after a horrendous series of games trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Going 18/3 and losing is not the most fun. So there is hope! It's just 600 games away O.o

We looked at this awhile ago, and it takes about 150 games to reach their true MMR rating for the average player; however, a very small percentage of players were outliers and needed up to 1000 games.
