@Riot has ripped my friend and I off

  • Long story short, a bunch of content on my account suddenly went missing after the Lunar Revel patch. Because of this, my friend was able to gift me a skin I ALREADY OWNED (Blade Mistress Morgana, to be specific.) Riot support added the missing champs/skins back to my account, but they're claiming they can't do anything about my friends gift. Incredibly disappointed and will tell people not to purchase anything from Riot in the future :/

    My friend NEVER GOT A WARNING that he was gifting me something I already owned because the content was missing from my account.

    tags: lyte, hippalus, ironstylus, morello, xypherous, any red that could possibly restore my faith in your company etc.

    EDIT: For any Rioter, I had two tickets in about this: Request #5140934, Request #5150429. You can clearly see in the first that my content was refunded. My friend has yet to have his tickets processed, but I'm afraid whatever agent he gets won't understand why, on his end, he was able to gift me something I already owned.

    SUPER EDIT Horray! Lyte has responded and my faith in Riot has been restored. I would like to publicly apologize for being so harsh in my original post, but I was feeling really lost/helpless about this situation. When it comes down to it, my friend tried to do something nice to me and I hated seeing his kind gesture invalidated. Hopefully this will all get cleared up by tomorrow, and I would like to thank everyone for getting this thread red attention. Riot is awesome! Keep buying from them, just be on the lookout when buying content before a new patch.
  • This is a pretty complicated problem and the Player Support person might have misunderstood.
