Almost every time I see the guy post his opinion (even sometimes facts) about something not regarding what his riot title says, it's downvoted into hell. Cut that **** out srs. Uncalled for and the guy doesn't even try to flaunt his knowledge over anyone or troll or assert himself (not a poke at any other reds that make it work for them) but give him a break.
Personally i'd like to apologize for how harsh GD can be sometimes Griftrix. I remember some guy personally said you were his least favorite red. What does that even mean, i didn't know people had favorites or preferences. I know some people like certain reds sense of humor, but... I'd read IronSylus' opinion on nerfs and value it the same as if they came from Morello or Phreak or anyone else who does live balance.
Please don't give up. ): Also there was another red who got downvoted into hell regarding streams and why we can't view highelo one's. she was just tryin' to give her opinion and boom, downvoted into hell. I'm pretty sure tryin' to help and being down voted into hell is a HUGE slap in the face and probably makes them feel unwanted. (think her name was riot jenny or something. or something with jenny in it)
Edit: i'm not saying rioters can't be wrong lmao. i'm just saying THIS rioter seems to be attracting a large amount of unwarranted dislike. sorry if some of you only read threads just for to see a red's opinion and if it's not what you like you downvote it.

Thanks for the love guys. You don't need to worry about my feelings though. I always read and write on the forums with a smile. So many players have really cool experience and knowledge that I get to learn from, and if every now and then I post an unpopular opinion to some people in a thread, it doesn't bother me. It's probably because I misunderstood someone's post. That has been due to unclear word choice, or me just missreading pronouns ^_^. In any case, it's cool. Some people also really like to correct others, so if I say incorrect things, they get to have some joy, and I'm happy to be a part of that.
Did you know, only 6 states have names that end in the letter "A"?
I like Griftix but honestly he could work on how he words his posts. Even though I know he means well, he sounds like a condescending jerk more than half the time. If he were just another player, then nobody would care, but he adds that shiny red icon to every thread he posts in, even when he adds nothing of value (no offense, but it does happen sometimes). So a lot of people take notice of his posts and well... If it's not popular it's not gonna drown in a sea of comments, it's gonna stand out and get downvoted.
I think that post was fine, but sometimes you argue semantics too much and that gets really frustrating because people know when you understand but want to pick at little words.
I have misunderstood people's posts and then replied with something that was just wrong because of it. Clarity in language helps prevent that
The reason why Griftrix gets so much hate is because he cherry picks what he responds to in a post, and ignores the rest of it. People make posts as a whole, to be read as a whole. Not for him to see one line and ignore the rest which would probably address his response.
Also the "power creep" vs "utility creep" thing was completely stupid and unnecessary.
1) I don't like to spam the reply box if I only have something to say about part of a post
2) People are mad at me because I talk about the overall balance of champions in a "power creep" thread, and then get mad for me not knowing that the thread was really about utility/versatility, not overall power?

The main problem I see with your post there was that you probably didn't get across clearly what you were trying to say. I respect you and trust you know what you're talking about, but here it comes across a little less clear.
Your point about a champion not being playable is irrelevant to the OP's point. While you provide a counter-argument to utility vs power which makes some sense, the fact is still that the balance which you're trying to achieve has been lost.
We'll use Vi vs Sion as an example:
Vi has, arguably, much more utility than Sion. Really the only difference is that Sion is more focused on power, while Vi is utility combined with power. The balance between utility and power is broken in this scenario, where Vi outclasses Sion because she has better balance between utility and power.
Your point about number tweaking is applicable in this situation, because with less ad scaling for Vi she, again arguably, is just slightly better than Sion.
But this slight advantage for Vi comes from the utility she possesses. Later in that thread, Blitz was pulled (pun intended) up for having too much utility, making him op. Your point to having this innate utility was because he was a support. Vi is not a support, and she has this utility that Sion does not have.
So can Vi still be played with no damage? Sure, because her ult shuts down someone, and her armor break is insane. Can Sion do the same? Not a chance.
In her role, Vi is slightly less effective at dealing damage, but provides infinitely more utility than Sion. And in a meta where mainly high damage ad mids are played, and some major adc's have escapes, the utility is more useful than more damage.
Number tweaking will not fix that.
You have some great points here. I do think that if Sion had more damage, then no one would pick Vi over him. There is a point where that is true. Vi's utility is nice, but there is always a point where enough damage will outclass it.
