[Got bored of playing only Mid, Starting to play other lanes slowly, Still playing mostly mid though]
And to clarify, I will be communicating using pings.
Also, Should someone ban Orianna, I will play other champions, Zyra(Most preferrably, as she's my second favorite) Sejuani, Syndra, Anivia, Heimerdinger, Lux, and Evelynn are also among my favorites and best champions.
Game 1, Win. Was verbally abused by Gangplank for 95% of the game. I muted him 5 minutes into the game, and unmuted him 5 minutes before game ended to see him still whining away.
Game 2, Win, Very clean game on our teams side, Enemy team obviously had inside issues.
Game 3, Loss, We lost, In my opinion due to the fact that bot lane lost very hard early on, Even though I won my lane against Diana, and Cho' seemingly won his lane against malphite(Or tied/went even), They in the end had a very good teamcomp, Malphite ulti+ Hecarim ulti + Diana ulti/E w/ Nunu and MF ultis.
I got a lot of good ultimates in, and did my best to carry, but it wasn't enough.
Game 4, Win, First pick called mid at first, but then he decided to go bot with his partner. I'm glad he did, I ended up able to carry. Two members of each team were dc'ed for a short while, Most likely due to server issues, Our J4 was the last to reconnect, and so they realized that and forced baron, Right before the teamfight ensued, I caught Vayne out by myself, and one shotted her before their team could react, We ended up winning the fight against them with baron, we took their inhibitor with that push. Right after that, We went to push top, and caught hecarim and renekton, they both died very early, and we ended up aceing their team, We won the game off that push.
Game 5, Win, I was last pick, and someone in the queue recognized me, and it ended up giving me credibility and I got mid without any complaints. I ended up carrying the game for the most part, and everyone on my side of the team was happy.
Game 6, Win, I was second pick and got mid without any real complaints, Xin made a couple bad plays so we almost lost, but we ended up coming back when he picked up his game and stole a baron!
Game 7, Win, I got mid, Early on, Xin and Jayce had an arguement and they started whining about report this report that and they eventually calmed down, I thought we were going to lose until they calmed down, Then Xin ganked mid twice and we got two easy kills as soon as I hit 6, this snowballed and I kept CSing well and we won the game.
Game 8, Loss, Ezreal had really bad positioning, and that ended up losing us the game, as well as the early bot lane that he had where Graves came out 4-0, Even with Jarvan trying to help.
Game 9, Loss, Lux decided to come mid with me, And I said that was fine, however, her attitude was the reason we lost, She kept on throwing random snares that even our jungler realized was just her trolling around and giving up. She didn't die at all, but that's because she sat in the back and let teammates die multiple times, Including Maokai and myself. We ended up not having a top laner and it was pretty much a stomp. We probably would have done better if Taric had picked a top lane instead of a support.
Game 10, Win, No problems, Diana wanted to mid in the beginning, but then she decided she'd just jungle (Our third pick), Diana and I coordinated a good few counter ganks on bot lane even though Ez/J4 were losing lane early, and we brought it back, got a double kill each counter ganking and got an early dragon (Which took about 30 seconds to kill and nearly killed her) which snowballed the game. AP Trynd won top of course though
Game 11, Win, Complete stomp, All lanes won, bot lane was at their inhibitor before 18 minutes, and Ezreal was legendary and 6 levels ahead of enemy Varus/Lux.
Game 12, Win, Enemy Ezreal got fed early, but so did I and Kayle. Kayle had a couple nice ults on Ashe and I in the mid-late game fights that ended up winning us the game, Garen was tanky AF so he was able to just run up on ezreal and slap him in the face after a while, and either zone or kill him. Ashe eventually made a comeback and we won slowly.
Game 13, Win, Complete stomp, I was left to free farm and ended up 5-0 w/ 300 CS at 23 minutes or so. All lanes won, and we took every turret they had before they even got their first turret, (I think), I don't even think they got a single dragon either.
Game 14, Loss, We got absolutely no turrets, I was literally the only one that kept us able to fight them in that game so long. Teemo was whining all game about how I wasn't good enough, and how Cait was feeding, (1-4) Teemo was an overall whiny whiny person. He was upset at me even though I was 4-1-8 the last time I saw him speak(Muted him) even though I saw my teammates constantly argueing with him about how he wasn't playing very well at all and was just taking it out on others.
Game 15, Win, Everyone was very far ahead the entire game, Except for our Shen, Who lost stop, And well, He's shen, so he just tele'd with ult and eventually caught up, and then I ganked for him once, and we ended up taking 2 turrets because of the kill we got with that gank, They surrendered soon after.
Game 16, Loss, Cassiopeia was whining all game, Everyone else did fairly decently, Jarvan actually started out 5-1, but Cassiopeia got caught three times in a row, and they pushed that advantage all three times.
Game 17, Loss, I don't remember what happened since I accidently forgot to put this one in right after the game.
Game 18, Loss, Graves with Ashe support, Ashe did fine, Graves did fine, but they were *****ing and whining at each other all game till they both went AFK, Even our J4 with the "Leadership" ribbon was raging. Also, Fiora built full DPS instead of building an item that could have helped her survive more, (Even after she had already acrued 10 deaths)
Game 19, Loss, Our Ahri was upset about me going mid even though she had already picked, and went top for a little while, then got angry, (She was already angry from the start) and threw the game on purpose, even though Irelia was willing to give up top so she could go top, and Irelia went bot with Ezreal.
Game 20, Win, Enemy J4 tried to gank me so many times (All unsuccessful) that he was starting to lose levels etc, I even killed him once and got an assist another time. Despite that, and not even killing me more than once ( I only had 1 death by end of game) Lux still managed to go legendary -_-, I really think she's becoming fotm and OP. Although I also said this 3 months ago.
Game 21, Loss, Vayne got Fizz support and whined all game and refused to team fight with us, He picked Fizz support because he didn't get top as far as I know, This wasn't a fight for mid or anything.
Game 22, Win, Easy game, I feel like they were raging at each other on the other team and it contributed to our easy win.
Game 23, Win, We lost hard early game, but we ended up coming back after AP Trynd started falling off, Their MF was the reason they ultimately lost though, I caught her 3 fights in a row to initiate and she was dead instantly.
Game 24, Loss, Nidalee refused to go top even after my teammates were begging her, I ended up far behind and I had to try to play catch up the entire game even with a terrible score, Nidalee was raging all game and I muted her like 3 minutes in even though the team was clearly trying to talk to her even at 30 mins in for some reason.
[Skipping a couple games because I forgot to do them immediately after]
Game 25, Win, TF didn't want to go top, and I started out like 0/5/1 but then we came back in teamfights when I started being useful, I built Void first instead of Rabadons b/c they were building alot of MR.
ended the game like 7/7/12 and they were focusing me down first because I had so much AOE burst and sustained burst.
Game 26, Win, The other lanes were losing early, Bot lost hard and Top was just behind, but I did well, and Vi atleast tried to help bot lane a bit. I ended the game 8-1-11 with my teammates thanking me for "carrying hard". I'm just glad that no one got a crappy attitude after losing their lanes.
Game 27, Loss, Nidalee lost top early on, and started whining, Which is probably why we lost IMO, Enemy Hecarim out jungled our Xin pretty hard too, and I got a little behind because of no blues early, Hecarim was playing well and counter jungling, but we survived fairly long.
Game 28, Win, Played AP Kog, We had a TF, who picked after me, assuming I was AD Kog I guess, and he just went bot, Our MF and He had an arguement about grammar, (God forbid), but I ended up dealing tons of damage, and TF did really well too.
Game 29, Win, AP Sejuani mid is where it's at, She's a lot of fun, and even though CSing was hard, we were able to completely roll teamfights with our wombo-combo ults. Sej Ult >Malph ult + lulu ult + MF ult to clean up.
Game 30, Win, Another AP Sejuani game, Really liking AP sejuani, I feel useful, Even though her Q's CD and her innate tankiness isn't very great, she's really fun to play. Her laning isn't great, so I asked for some help from my Lee, and we picked up a couple kills. Bot lost lane hard early, but my teamfight presence was so overwhelming at the point when we started TFing, that enemy cait wasn't really able to do anything, I didn't even die once.
Games 31-40, 4 wins, 6 losses, AP Sejuani and AP Kog games w/ one game of Mid Twitch.
Game 41, Win, Went duo mid as Twitch with an Annie, Enemy Lux was doing well early, but then I picked up a couple kills, and she soon dc'ed after and we won. I ended it legendary as 15-3 even though I started out 0/2.

So playing a viable champion, in a viable role in your game, is being a jerk?
Refusing to cooperate with your team is probably being a jerk. It's not up to me though - it's up to the people he plays with. In any good relationship there has to be compromise. If you want to give your team the best chance at winning you should try to create some positive momentum.
If you want to do whatever you want to do all the time, then I believe you should play in 5-mans with your friends. When I play ranked I compromise, when I really want to do exactly what I want to do (revive teleport backdoor yi for example?) I'll do a 5-man because I know it won't go over well in a ranked solo game, even if it often works.
It's not that complicated...

There is no easy (or proper) way to put "don't be a jerk" into rules. Someone will always find a way to make a loophole in it to rationalize what they did WAS following the rules.
Yeah, he's Riot, so I should alter the way I talk.
My point was perfectly valid and you know it. Defend the red poster all you want, calling him "kiddo" is hardly a drop in the bucket relative to what other people have called him.
If you want to be treated with respect, you should treat people with respect.
As you can see from the screenshots, I have not been a jerk, rude, or in any way, not communcating, Maybe not compromising, But I've not been a jerk in any way shape or form, and I've been nice to my teammates in all of these past games.
If you don't end up in the Tribunal for it, then I certainly don't mind you doing it.
The only reason I would mind is if it's negatively impacting the people you're playing with.

I don't like you Pendragon, so I'm going to use my military authority as a commissioned officer of the United States Navy to imprison you as an enemy combatant.
This isn't up to me. This is up to his peers. I'm not going to use any authority to change his behavior here. We have a peer review system in place that is historically pretty accurate. It's absolutely subjective, and the way we're balancing subjectivity is with volume.
lol I almost said something when a red in another similar thread said something about assuming the community was "Mature". But I digress.
Most of the community is pretty mature in my experience.
The portion of the community that fervently represents any extreme position tend to, (by nature), exhibig extreme behaviors which sometimes can them appear immature.
My personal default is to assume that everyone I interact with is intelligent, mature, capable, friendly, etc until they prove otherwise.
This situation is problematic. I can't speak to how we're going to address it - but like anything that upsets lots of players - we'll find a way.
Quote:
"Negatively impacting the people you're playing with." That's such a biased thing it's not funny. I've had entire champ select lobbies threaten to report me because I chose to pick a role that was open at the time of my picking, all because a lower pick had "called" it. Is that "negatively impacting" people? Is that bannable?
It's supposed to be biased. If you're going to interact with a bunch of people that you don't know, then you need to have the social awareness to not make people around you miserable.
I played two ranked solo games today
I wanted mid in both, (and asked for it).
Didn't get it in either, played ADC, won both, had fun.
So do you believe that the player who got to play mid in those 2 games deserves to be Tribunal'd? Judging from your previous post, you would deem this player, who took mid even though you communicated that you wanted it, was being a jerk and would eventually be tribunaled?
No, they both picked before me - and were pretty nice.
I was even going to be left with jungler one of the games because someone had picked adc. I'm a terrible jungler and let him know - he offered to swap me. I played cait and picked jungle cho for him.
Being nice won't work every time, but it will work way more times than being mean.
there we have it folks. he just admitted to pick order is king.
I've said before that I follow pick order personally. That doesn't mean we're going to make a broad-sweeping policy about it. Even if we did we have no mechanism or desire to enforce it. The Tribunal is controlled by the community behavior standard.
Yes - there's no champion select chat in the Tribunal, (which is a gap, and not perfect) but let's be honest - if someone shows up in the tribunal and the comments are "soandso said mid or I feed" from 3 people per game over 4-5 games, you can be fairly confident it's true.
If the community wants pick order, then start enforcing pick order as the standard - you have that capability.

If you can take Ori mid every game and not be a jerk - then go for it.

I played two ranked solo games today
I wanted mid in both, (and asked for it).
Didn't get it in either, played ADC, won both, had fun.
I was even going to be left with jungler one of the games because someone had picked adc. I'm a terrible jungler and let him know - he offered to swap me. I played cait and picked jungle cho for him.
Being nice won't work every time, but it will work way more times than being mean.
