Hello guys,am i only one thinking that we all deserve our ELO or Division? Vote?
Every day there is 20 new posts about "omg this new system, noob, afk,"
Personaly i deserve my ELO for raging..Any tips to help me calm down?if you have some please comment.
I mean i am pretty high skill player got 0 problems playing with platinum/diamond players,i just cant deal with the fact that somone build bad items vs enemy team and when i tell them to change they are like ''stfu, gtfo",than i keep playing just for rest 3,2,or one player doing good in team..Any advices? Cheers.
No, I honestly feel I should be silver. not gold, not plat, and certainly not challenger 1. But yes, Silver. It is impossible to carry that hard though when you have a teammate leave the game. 15/6 as Brand and I lose? That means I did my job and did it well.
It means you took all the kills early and failed to carry, perhaps. AFK's are a different story, of course, if that was one of those games.
I think one of the biggest causes of people thinking they deserve a win is "if I win my lane, I should win the game." This is, of course, not true, anymore than winning any team game should be based on the sole success of an individual. Additionally, there's a logical fallacy because two enemies can both win a lane, but only one can win the game.
I always think if you get a high score and fed early, then it's now your responsibility to turn that gold into results in teamfights. This also requires teamwork and coordination, which is the price of entry on a team-game.
Of course, if you don't like teaming with randoms, Ranked 5's is the best way to play. But when you hit that solo queue button, you're accepting you're playing a team game with people you don't know. That's kind of the point.
I saw a study a few weeks back that said that in this day and age, something like 85% of people believe they're smarter and just overall better than their peers.
Everyone thinks they're above average in life, which we know can't be true, so why wouldn't that translate to league?
Many of us were raised being told we're special snowflakes, and many people also believe they should be good at something naturally, rather than having to actually work as hard as everyone else did for it.
If gold is the top 5% of ranked players, not even close to everyone can be gold. This doesn't sit well with the aforementioned group.
You are where you deserve to be, give or take a league. I started ranked by playing hundreds of games in the old bronze league, and saw myself get better and better over almost a thousand games to where I am now. I didn't "luck" into gold or silver. These were both huge accomplishments for me at the time. I put in the work and got the reward. Yes people will have win and loss streaks, but over a large enough sample size, you'll get put where you belong. Sorry if this breaks your special snowflake mindset. NOw put in the work.
Exactly - this is not a popular notion because no one wants to think they're not exceptional. But, by definition, we can't all be exceptional.
I belong in Silver right now. I hope to improve to make Gold this season, but I have some practice to do.
I disagree with the fed early, carry late comment.
Here's a scenario:
Plays brand.
Gets super fed.
Goes into team fights and takes out their ADC and AP with his burst combo before they have time to react or kill your ADC.
Dies to their bruisers because your front line is worse than theirs with no peel or hard cc.
Team fight is lost after you die due to your bruisers being worse than theirs.
Did the AP not do his job, and do it well?
Contrary to popular belief, there are actually times where YOU play the best that is possible under given circumstances and saying, "You can always have played better" is just plain wrong.
As for the solo queue comment; yes, you're right. Solo queue is always going to be a high stakes gamble until somebody enables easy voice chat to communicate.
Yeah, teamwork is required to win because League is a team game. But your choices are to play solo queue and carry hard in some situations, lead the team with inspiration and strategy, or leave yourself to fate. Or play Ranked 5's.
You deserve your elo?

Kind of off-topic, but doesn't that seem a little silly?
I was also almost 2k elo in normals before Ranked went live. How I've performed in the past isn't an indication of how I'm playing today.
