I ran a competition involving a brain teaser last week and it's time to conclude it. Firstly, the winner of the RP contest was SWLDGuitar1 who posted an extremely thought out and well researched answer that linked into LoL lore.
The answer I was looking for was to do with the cardigan. Cardigans have buttons at the front. Cassiopeia lied as she only saw the culprit from the back and therefore she could not have known that the culprit was wearing a cardigan and not a sweater. Any answer that stemmed from this was "correct".

There is a common myth among players that is prevalent among all skill ranges. This myth concerns the effectiveness of stacking resistances on champions and whether it is effective to stack them beyond a certain value. Today we'll be taking a look at whether there is such a thing as "too much armor". Can your knight in shining armor really be wearing so much armor as to weigh him down?

I try not to fool readers - I am by no means a great or even good player, I am an average player like you. I do not have the individual ideas or conviction or skill to single-handedly bring about change. However what I can do and do well is help you understand what limits meta shifts and how you can help move it along. I'll be using a couple of well-known concepts to explain to you, the reasons behind a stagnant meta and why we must be the change we want to see in this game.

In the past, I've created an All About: Experience Gain article and it went quite successfully. To reboot the series, today I will be bringing to you, 'All About: Neutral Monsters'.
For a long time, the jungle and its monsters have been a source of confusion for many players as they opt to learn more about laning and its many nuances. Information of neutral monsters is not only difficult to collect, but a long and tedious task. There is much information available within the LoL Wiki but all too often, that information is inaccurate and cannot be relied on.
Thanks to the help of a number of volunteers (especially Redditors), today I've managed to collect a lot of information on various beasts of the jungle and here I present the information to you in a set of infographics that I hope you will find useful. There's even a free wallpaper for your use at the bottom - Enjoy it!

The higher skilled players will most likely be answering with, "a Last Whisper or some defence", while the lower Elo players might answer with "The Bloodthirster". One of my friends once said, "Building Last Whisper before The Bloodthirster is a free 100 Elo" - I was intrigued. Could the difference really be that significant?

With the release of Pulsefire Ezreal, a lot of players have been picking up Ezreal and trying to learn him in time to prepare for the day they can play with the skin. There has been much talk about whether this subscription only site is worth it and today I'll be trying to clear up misconceptions regarding the website and see how much of it you really can view on other free-to-use stat tracking websites. This can be considered a continuation of my "Getting Ahead in the Loading Screen" post.
ELOBUFF claims to be able to track everything you could ever want about an enemy's statistics and never need to use another stat tracker ever again. For the readers who read my earlier post on this topic, you would know that the there are plentiful options for stat tracking websites and they offer a ton of information.

Firstly, I'd like to clear up the fact that I am in no way affiliated with Riot (although I'd like to be!) and will be trying to explain design decisions by logical deduction in the aim of helping the readers realise facts that they took for granted.
In my research of game design across the web - I came across this picture (from MSU) and I found it extremely accurate in describing the amount of work that is required to design a game.
There is so much material/work put into a game that us gamers take into account for granted. However, today I will not be trying to climb Everest and talk about game design as a whole. Instead, let's walk through a simple concept that Riot has stood behind and see how that has affected the game today.
For those of you who frequent the League of Legends community forums from time to time and keep up with red posts, you'll be aware that Zileas and Morello - two Rioters who have a strong influence on game design - cite anti-fun and the burden of knowledge as being reasons for not implementing X mechanic/gameplay factor. I'll be taking a look at the 'Burden of Knowledge' aspect today and hope to give you some explanation as to how this has affected the game we play today.

A quick explanation of Health Regeneration is in order first. Every champion has a health bar. When said champion's health bar is not full, your health is regenerated back at a constant rate until it is full again. This rate of regeneration is measured in game using the the term "Health Regeneration per 5". So now that quick explanation is out of the way. Let's take a look at the health regeneration base values of a couple of champions to get a rough idea of what sort of values we're looking at.
For reference, Riven has the highest base health regeneration in the game and Sivir has the lowest in the game. For a full list of health regeneration values, you can visit this link. So how valuable is health regeneration to you in a lane? To help answer that question easier - let us figure out the health regeneration that a Health Potion gives.
150 Health over 15 seconds works out to 10 Health per second for 15 seconds. In other words, you gain 50 HP/5 for 15 seconds.
It is an indisputable fact that the quickest way to sustain yourself in lane, early in the laning phase, is to pop a health potion or two on yourself and keep yourself in the lane.
Now let's compare to other options of health regeneration. I want to take a special look at the Regrowth Pendant firstly. So let us do that!
