Also, while the numbers may be off, i'd say as a general rule of thumb people stack too much resistances and too little health. In game: check if your enemy adc (or someone else) is building BotRK. If not, go for mostly health, aiming for resistances of 150 (maybe even less) or so in a full build. The thing most people forget when they try to optimize is that every single carry ever builds a penetration item, making armor/mr worse, but only a few of them have/buy things with %hp.

If it's any consolation I did a full writeup and spreadsheet of the optimal first tank item based on champion and incoming damage type-spread a long time ago. I got pretty good feedback for it from both VVinrar and the community, but was too lazy to follow it up.

I had a support Tristana in ranked who got Frost Queen's, then DFG. She bursted the enemy adc every time her ult was up.

I had an AP Tristana support yesterday, she built Frost Queen into DFG and bursted their carries, best game ever

I did bad in placements and went back down to Silver 2, Silver 1, 76LP now. I personally find it really easy, and if even one other teammate is competent then we stomp everything. But that might be just me.

What are you on about

TLDR: Trist is good early and late. Her midgame sucks. Pick her if you can win early, or if you can tell your team to stall until late. She will wreck late compared to Cait, Ezreal, Lucian, some others.

^ As above, I am also interested in your opinion on Iceborne Gauntlet for Trundle. Seems like a "better" choice than Triforce with the armor, CDR and slow field.

I have replaced my armor seals with health per level. That +4 base armor helps a bit, and the health is better late game.
