A lot of this game isn't good game design (more like monetary design).

Not unless Poppy has anything to say about it. Ult someone else, and Kallista can't AA dash away. Even if she tries to AA her, Poppy will love that one moment of stopping to pound her into a wall and Q her. So while people have been crying about Tristana, Poppy is one of the natural counters to her. It forces her out the fight, which is what should happen, and she ends up having to fight me. Provided, mobility still sucks in this game when people have more ways to get away from you, and all you have is a ghost, your active speed boost, and a dash if you can get in range. But I like to think keeping them out of the fight for a good 4 to 8 seconds is a success with her.
And all of this can be put down to the entirety of Poppy's kit being retarded and nothing else.Or people realizing she has a role as a counter.

I'm already aware that Morello is saying empty promises and that all the game decisions are simply for monetary reasons. I just don't like the overlord face of trying to keep peace by saying lies.
How does game balance = monetary repercussions? This game is F2P not P2W. The money made is based on skins and what not. The actually game balance doesn't really effect that. There is no monthly subscription cost.
There is one: exp boosts, Ip boosts, LCS, new champions with great abilities and mobility to make the game look more fun (which come at 7800 ip, which encourages either buying with rp or an ip boost if you don't enough ip), and let's not forget runes (also expensive). It's all there. All decisions are made to make the game looks better. Gameplay balance is the last thing on any of their minds at Riot. You're right, it's a F2P. and by nature, paying money gives you more power, as the existence of the shop details. I would agree with you if there was ONLY cosmetics in that shop.

The issue in mostly that, like Morello said, Champs aren't "paying" (Adding longer CD's, opportunity costs, resource costs, damage reduction over amplification) for the mobility in their power budget as much as they should of at all. That needs to be adjusted.
Morello has been saying that for over a year. He can say that all he wants, but action talks, and we haven't seen action.

Actually, once people get to Diamond, most of them start maining champions. There's exceptionals who main them no matter what tier they are (me), both most of the mains are diamonds who get there and start playing whoever they want.

CertainlyT supposedly said that if they were to nerf Ashe's ultimate range to 2000, her winrate would increase by 5%.
Immobile champions have strenghts other champions can't even dream off.
Ashe has the strongest stun in the game. MF is the ad carry with the highest map presence in the game, just because of her passive. Twitch's stealth allows him to gank, which is very unique and his ultimate gives him the highest auto attack range in the game. Jinx' E is way better than Caitlyn's W and she's the only ad carry who gets to have long range AoE crits.
That's not just ad carries and extends to mages. Anivia? Her ultimate is on a basic ability (W). Swain? Gets to be tanky and hard to kill, which is rare on a mage. Xerath? You all know how stupid he feels to play against and he has no mobility at all.
Ziggs has an escape. Why did he fall out of favor suddenly? Could it be, that mobility isn't everything after all?
Champions without mobility bring other things to the table, that are just as important. If having no mobiltiy was so god awful as you claim, why doesn't it reflect in win rates? It doesn't.
Win rates is a combination of many variables, including plays from very early seasons. The top 15%, aka gold and above of the game do not thwart whatever anyone any normal and silver- play. They care more about just doing what they want than being competitive. And those that do, likely don't care for ranked or are on their way to becoming gold.
Your statements about immobile champions power is true, but the accuracy of each of their power is so situational and low that there's no point in trying to go for an all or nothing play like Ashe hoping to hit someone with her arrow or Anivia stopping people with her wall (only for someone to either flash or dash through it), or Twitch having enough cover to keep him protected from a single cc. Ziggs fell out of favor because of the power nerfs, which is what you're actually suppose to do to a mobile champion. So we know the solution. It's simply a matter of Riot following through with them. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

There's only one rule to obey on RoG: if you talk bad about LoL, prepare to be flamed.
