The games get much much better around weekdays, 11-14cet. Although I have noticed that having too much time to play might be a detrimental factor for most soloQ casuals. While there is no conclusive evidence on that, I believe that the more consecutive games one plays, the more likely it is that most of them will be lost. It might, of course, vary between individuals, but this is one of the reasons why I stopped playing ranked during the weekend (which in turn led to my rise in ranks).

Has anyone mentioned the SCP foundation yet? I had a lot of "creepy fun" playing The Stairwell and Containment Breach. They are quite good for indie games, especially the latter.

With proper mana management, using abilities to CS is never a problem.

This is a very difficult issue to tackle. On one hand, there could be a separate bracket for gold-ish players/teams, so that they would not feel frustrated about losing to an all-diamond team, but then two other issues come up as there probably aren't that many active players to create separate brackets based on teams' MMR. Then, it is important to emphasize that this is a community tournament, not a pro or even semi-pro one. That means everyone can participate, and the participation of mixed teams is allowed and, in fact, encouraged.

 

The only solution to this problem that I could think of might be lowering the (hidden) MMR cap, yet I feel that such adjustment seems very difficult to make as well.

 

 

The biggest downside to the tournament was the fact that sooo many matches had to be postponed. I guess having to play your games on saturday/sunday was not very fitting.
