He absolutely dumpsters a lot of champs in lane, but honestly he's a pretty big waste to give lane farm to. Nunu with gold and Nunu without gold are basically the same. It's what makes him a fantastic support jungler, but if you're going to have a good flow of income coming in from being top lane you're better off giving it to somebody that does more with gold.

It's not like this was just Reginald benching Xpecial. The decision was made after discussing it with the whole team. If the team agrees that his attitude is wrong, then frankly it doesn't matter how well he plays. There's MUCH more to being on a team than just playing well. And again, it's not like they are just straight up finished with Xpecial. They WANT Xpecial to come back, and the hope is that benching him temporarily pushes him to make a change. Actually going through with the benching shows that they are serious; you can be almost sure that no change would have been made on Xpecial's part if they just left the situation as is.

LOL at saying Reginald needs the attitude change though. How exactly do you know? I surely hope you're not going off of those old videos of the team arguing and w/e when Reginald was still a player for the team. The rest of the team seems to be in agreement with Regi on this one that Xpecial was at fault. Even Xpecial agreed with them in his recent vlog. And I hate to break it to you, but if Reginald stops being a part of TSM then there will no longer be a TSM, simple as that.

And yet every time Reginald has made a decision regarding the roster the team has come out stronger than before despite the MASSIVE amount of backlash he gets from the community and TSM fans each time.

And as Reginald said himself, he wants this to be a push for Xpecial to refocus himself and come back with a better attitude. He's not completely off the team yet and has the chance to earn his spot back.

The other teams focus down Dyrus HARD because Dyrus has the best chance of carrying any given game on TSM by far.

People like to hype up Bjergson all day long, but really Dyrus is the backbone of TSM, and really if you want to put them down you focus down Dyrus hard. If Dyrus is ending the game 0/4 or whatever, it's not because Dyrus is weak but because the other team understands how to play against TSM's strengths.

When does the item become costefficent?

Wriggles is cost efficient even on its own by only putting down three wards with it, not even counting the gold you earn with it or its ability to clear the jungle quickly.

Feral Flare is cost efficient based on the AD and attack speed alone, so any wards you put down, any gold you earn, and of course the progressively growing strength of its on-hit make it incredibly gold efficient.

His Q's animation is quick and clean unlike Cait's Q or Jinx's W. You really aren't standing still for much longer than an auto attack. Also Kog outranges a majority of dashes in the game with his autos alone not to mention Q's 1000 range. The exceptions are things like Vi ult, semi-globals, and champions with more than one gap closer but they can catch you regardless. Stopping to cast a Q isn't the difference between Leblanc catching you or not; she would be able to do that anyways with the potential to close 1200 distance. To that, you're defense is your team being able to protect you with somebody like Lulu or Kayle and if they are not able to I would ask why you picked Kog into somebody like Leblanc without being prepared in the first place.

And worse case scenario, you just resign yourself to not going into auto attack range because you need to be as safe as possible in a given scenario. Even if you can't use your autos throughout a fight it's not like your ult stopped doing ~450 aoe damage a pop on a 1 second cooldown at 2200 range. If you go a Muramana route then you are more than capable of being almost absolutely safe throughout a team fight while still doing excellent damage. With Muramana and Kog's base mana pool you can cast eight ults, each as soon as it comes off of cooldown, while still having enough mana to cast a couple Q's and E's. Sure, not as devastating as AP Kog doing the same thing but if you ever have the chance to safely get into auto attack range you can output insane dps.

Yeah, you should always be using his new Q if you are in range to hit and have the mana to do so.

The cast animation on his Q isn't anywhere near Cait's Q or Jinx's W so you don't lose out on as many potential auto attacks. Further, the damage loss from not auto attacking for a brief moment will be made up with the huuuuuge armor and mr reduction especially because it's a debuff your entire team benefits from.

Well sure, once you hit level six mana is practically a combat stat for Kog; his ult is definitely THAT good. But before level six it's not really doing anything for you and that is Kog's biggest point of vulnerability. The other team should look to set you back as far as possible before you hit level six because if you safely hit that point then you have successfully survived lane.

While other supports may be better in lane I would take Thresh above all else when it comes to every other point of the game. Thresh's ability to peel is almost as strong as Janna's but he also provides one of the most game changing skills in the game with Lantern and as an immobile champ like Kog Lantern is a godsend.

That's a pretty bold statement. Going for Tear gives you no combat stats and Kog which isn't a good pairing with Kog's lack of mobility so should you get caught you're basically screwed barring something like Thresh support (which is probably the single best support for Kog because he gives Kog an escape). I don't think Kog really wins lanes directly. Rather I think he wins lane indirectly through not losing lane, and then riding his nigh constant powerspikes that start at level six and don't really stop happening until he's a six item god.

I will say that I've been watching Kog'maw pop up on streams all day and it's sort of cringe worthy watching people play Kog right now. Build paths are ugly and positioning is so poor. Granted, I can guarantee most of these people are trying Kog for the first time in a loooong time because of the buffs and are very inexperienced with him.
