My #1 though atm is definitely tank brand. No counters whatsoever, plus it actually does damage. and you get to run around like an idiot not giving a single care if the enemy ults you or somethin. by far the best.

AP Carry Taric FTW! I love doing this, its so fun because his burst is surprisingly strong even without DFG. Tho you should probably get that on Taric. :D
EDIT: AP Taric
Duude, you shoulda seen taric pre-S2. you could get to the point where you could stun every 2 secs for over 1000 damage, every 4 seconds.
AD taric is also really good imo

yeah, the main problem with stacking roas is that by the 20 minute mark you dont want to build anymore, since that is the marking point of average games (~30 mins), and thus you would lose out on quite a bit of dosh. Unless you are 100% sure your game is gonna run over 40 minutes, i would not recommend on building more. Also, by building an archangels instead of another RoA, that gives you 350 more mana than a RoA, and much more ap. Only benefit is that you would gain more health.

@Korzing
I definitely approve. However, I would not recommend stacking RoA. Sure you gain more mana, but RoA isn't that great of an item, and having multiples will cause problems for it is only cost effective after 10 mins. Also for build, i'd probably rush tear, then get RoA, then Frozen Gauntlet. With that order you will be able to get faster stacks on your tear. Maybe running some gp10 quints might let you get that stuff faster? but you will lose some sustain cause you arent running lifesteal quints. on top of that you might be able to pull off also getting an archangels staff for teh mana and stuffz I'll look more into this and itemization. Zephyr also might be really good to run, since i think a little att speed will work well with this.

If you are an agressive player, you might wanna try out syndra or Cassiopeia. They are both highly aggressive champs with lots of poke, and are fun to play.
Also advice for kassadin: build muramana, when you use your w, for some reason muramana applies twice, burning 6% instead of 3% for that 5 seconds. aka for 5 seconds you are doing an additional 600 magic damage per autoattack

I'd have to chalk up their effectiveness to the surprise factor; enemies just aren't prepared for something so far out of left field. For instance, the Veigar build. I think it's safe to assume that the games you lost lane were ones where you didn't get very many, if any, early kills. The games where you weren't able to snowball to the crit machine that pretty much any champ in the game can become. However, most of the time, you can take your opponents off guard big time and get those first 1-3 cheese kills that set the ball rolling. But most games, even if you do get kills, you can still be countered fairly easily. Your build is heavily crit-reliant and building an early chain vest would force you to rush LW, lowering your dps, or keep building crit, in which case the armor is a very strong counter.
Now, I'm not saying stop building this way. I love doing stupid builds. But they aren't effective. They're cheese strategies. They blindside opponents that don't know how to react because it doesn't fit the precious meta people blindly follow. On that note, I think people should build outrageously more often so that we learn how to adapt to our situation and not do the same thing every game.Actually the reasons i did lose the lanes were because it was against a talon, a xin, or a 1v2 lane with a camping jungler. I have done fine with no early game kills, because then i still succeed late game with more ap due to early farming. But I do sort of agree with you that people should do it more to learn to adapt better, but because people aren't used to them they BECOME effective. Once people learn to counter them, then I'll agree that they're cheese strats, but for now in my opinion they arent. Also, <3 fifth age taric and his gameplays. I miss prepatch taric where you could stun every 3 seconds or so for 2 seconds, doing over 1000 magic damage

We all sortof agreed on saying that we talked about summoner rift, and maybe even about playing ranked games, not dominion or 3v3

As someone mentioned before, here's another one for you: AP Shyvana. Its based off of using your E and maximizing the passive effect of doing extra damage with your autoattack. Therefore malady, nashors tooth, and other att speed/ap items.
As to the people commenting on Veigar: I know it sounds not the best, but try it out, you may be surprised by how good it actually is.
Another one for those few, few, few dominion players out there (or just those who want to try it out). When I played some dominion, I always saw someone trying to play Anivia, and did terribly. The main problem was that they were too squishy. So why not tank? And thus I discovered the best defender in the game, able to 1v3 a fed olaf, a fed udyr, and a fiddle. You have the ability to wall out entire lanes, stun under towers while your ult keeps them from capping, meanwhile our frozen mallet and sunfire cape are slowly widdling them down. And they try to kill you? trololol egg form with 4k hp.

Has anyone tried AD Soraka? Her AA is actually pretty decent, she has nice disable (silence), nide dueling armor/heal buff and good ultimate. Also, her early damage is pretty riddiculous, few Q and AAs can go into nice firstblood. She can farm good, but she's pretty mana reliant - maybe an Manamune? She needs aspd too, so maybe Phantom Dancer after first big item? (BT/IE). She's unfortunately very reliant on positioning, because she's very fragile.
I'd pick her together with another pokey support, maybe Zyra or Sona? Give it a try!
lololol i totally forgot about that one. I'd like to mention it is the ultimate counter for udyr top

And to the OP- How does your AD Veigar work? If you're going AD on him just for that stun why go AD veigar when you can go so many other ADs? There are champs with better cc than Veigar, why not pick those instead?
The main reason why I like doing it is because:
a. He actually has good splash art for his autoattacks
b. the stun is a good stun, and can last for a long time when you level it, but the main reason for picking him is not this stun. It only helps
c. He can do hybrid without building ap. Just farm your q up, and also your ult scales of THEIR ap
d. high base damage
e. The main problem with going ap veigar is that you are useless on cooldown, therefore effectively making it so you can only kill one person in a fight. With ad, you don't fall off while on that cd period, thus being more effective in teamfights.
to counterract the problem of having not that much ap, id recommend doing it with an ap top like teemo or an ap dealer for a jungler like malph.
but registermyaccount, try it out, or add me and I can show you it. You may be surprised by how strong it is.
Sidenote: Wow, this thread has gotten big.
