I have to say that I am disgusted by how modern kids are getting brainwashed by homosexual japanese cartoons. I guess it's for the good of all though, it will make cultural conquest of western countries by asians easier and it's gonna help future white minorities integrate into a new society way easier.
It's not like I care anyway, I am a nihilist to the core and I while I am a racist and homophobe as well, these beliefs are mostly for my personal amusement (being hateful is more lulzy than being tolerant). In fact, as a nihilist I don't give a damn about anybody including myself and everyone can kiss my butt cheeks.
Unsure if trolling or serious, but gonna reply anyway.
I'm a xenophobe myself, including both racism and homophobia, and a certain sense of superiority towards other cultures. I don't have any extreme views - I only want people to stay in their countries and I don't care about how hard life there may be. Also, I am not openly hostile to any homosexuals who aren't openly practicing homosexual love in public or participate in demonstrations for homosexual rights. I cannot understands how can you have problems with anime. It doesn't have anything to do with brainwashing, it's just a simple way of entertainment. It brings a certain degree of understanding of a different culture - but it doesn't mean accepting and integrating said culture into one's beliefs. Also, you cannot really say about a cultural conquest of western countries by Asians - it pretty much works the other way around.
Atm im watching garden of sinners and this weekend im gonna see hight school of the dead XD
Don't see why everyone likes SAO. I watched the first 9 episodes and it was so boring. I didn't particularly like any of the character personalities either.
I've watched pokemon and dbz when i was little and now i sometimes watch naruto. I don't like anime in general. Like 99% of the animes are childish crap. I honestly don't understand why there are so many anime-fans. Or maybe there is just some sort of correlation between anime and these sites.
There are many different genre of anime,all consisting of different stories,style,etc. You just looked at the small variety of anime.
I don't like how anime it is written and drawn. The emotions, the humor and how boobs and females are ultra exciting. And God those female voices. When i hear those i want to scratch out my eyes and eardrums, It seems to be drawn for 12-year-olds who just hit puberty.
Yea ofcourse there are some which are fun. I liked death note. But that blonde character ruined it hard for me. And other less childish anime seems to be really really boring for some reason. But thats logical, high quality cartoons want to get as much audience as possible, and 80% of the audience is seemingly a geek.
So i will look out of good anime, but i don't expect to find much gold in a bucket full of shit.

the story was written when the author was 15, so that explains why theres some bad writing in it, due to his experience as a youth
I really liked it but i must admit that when kirito started banging asuna it got really annoying for guys going trought break-ups.... (not me of course hehe.... >.>)
Im more of seinen anime watcher. Berserk/Monster/elfen lied/Code geas are my current fav with cowboy bebop. Watched bleach/dbz in earlier years also tho. Oh and also Ghost in the shell.
Everything that Miyazaki's touched, or that's been made in his studios is absolutely a must watch. Nausicaa, Laputa, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (spirited away), Grave of the Fireflies, Mononoke Hime... If you claim to like anime and you can't appreciate these, I feel sorry for you. Really, these titles are on a level of their own.
Being an old timer, I don't fancy a lot of the newer stuff, and I've grown a murderous hate towards pretty much every shounen that's been released since Dragon Ball (the classic, not Z or the newer ones). Bleach is a horrid waste of time, naruto is shallow and repetitive and one piece is so bloated it makes me wanna puke. Apologies to those that have come to watch anime because of aforementioned titles, but they're just mass-produced crap. =/
Some really good stuff; must watch:
Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen (Trust & Betrayal) - the 4 OVA prequel to Samurai X. The show is bad, but these OVAs are top notch;
Ghost in the Shell;
Cowboy Beebop;
Berserk (the remade OVAs, not the series); Akira; Steamboy.
Not everybody's cup of tea but pretty awesome:
Karekano;
Escaflowne; Furi Kuri (FLCL);
Paprika;
Perfect Blue;
Serial Experiments Lain;
Tenshi no Tamago;
Ergo Proxy.
For nostalgy's sake:
Macross;
Princess Knight;
Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro;
Battleship Yamato.
Guilty pleasures:
Video Girl Ai (The manga is so much better...);
Bastard!;
Ah! My Goddess;
Ranma 1/2.
Code Geass, Stein's Gate, Fullmetal Alchemist and Full Metal Panic are probably my favourite
Other ones I've really enjoyed include Soul Eater, Highschool Of The Dead and Death Note

Again you're looking at the small variety... Look up Vagabond or Kingdom. They're not your classic "BIG BOOBED HAWT FANSERVICE GIRLS" or "KAWAII DESU BIG EYES!" or some of that shit.

Omg the only one I haven't watched out of that list is Grave of the Fireflies. Maybe because I don't want my feels jumped in the alley and left to sob for the remainder of my winter break. I was raised on the rest of the movies; I remember my first Miyazaki movie was Spirited Away (expected) but after that had my dad introduce me to Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky... yeah.
i need to go watch howl's moving castle again ffs

DiamondWell, it doesn't seem I would like this one. I prefer rather different kind of anime, but thanks for your post anyway.
